8 Mar 19 Reply Thanks for visiting Isaac! The original image was actually flipped as the butterfly clung up-side down on the child's hand.
Very little post processing was done as it was a nice clean image, aside from flipping and cropping.

8 Mar 19 Comment Up to your knees in snow??? At sunrise??? LoL! Marcus, I like the blue monochrome tones of your image and the layers of fore/middle/and background. Your panoramic crop is a good idea …perhaps cropping even tighter to exclude the bright white wave on the very right which tends to draw the eye. Mar 17th
8 Mar 19 Comment The craftman and his focus on the fiery tip makes this an interesting image. I would have loved to see his entire hand which I feel would complete the story. Mar 17th
8 Mar 19 Comment Great architectural shot Alastair! I like the various elements of steel and concrete against the blue sky and the touch of red of the train. I also like your clean exit point on lower right. Mar 17th
8 Mar 19 Comment Peaceful scene and the man in meditation adds to the story. The complementary colors of reds and green enhance the image. The post acts as a barrier to me and takes away from the focus of the man. Mar 17th

16 Mar 19 Comment Hi Terry…Just to let you know that PSA offers an on-line Still Life course in case you're interested. I like your theme and using natural elements from your garden - and thus would exclude the pasta. The grater and the reflection is an unexpected bonus! Stick to 3-5 elements in your setting and use directional lighting (45 degrees, from top left). Keep up the good work! Mar 17th

58 Mar 19 Comment Daniel…the "stone statue" looks more alive than the real people! Nice composition with a group of "three" folks. I am drawn to the feet of the group - both seen and unseen. Mar 17th
58 Mar 19 Comment Jim… The graffiti background adds to your image and is echoed in the tattoos of his arms. I like the expression on his face and the gesture of his waving arm. Nice and sharp image with a clear subject. Perhaps cropping from the right a bit to place the subject off-center and with his eyes on the "thirds", to strengthen the composition? Mar 17th
58 Mar 19 Comment Dan..Great architectural image and almost abstract. I agree with Isaac's enhancements. I like the "sevens" which show up repeatedly in the posts and shadows and also framed by the black surrounding. Good range of tones from white to black make this an interesting image. Mar 17th
58 Mar 19 Comment Lauren…I like the triangles formed by the man's hands cradling his pet and this is repeated in the shape of the pet's head. The eyes are sharp and so are the whiskers. There is an obvious bond between the man and his pet. Beautiful capture and conversion to B&W. Well done! Mar 17th
58 Mar 19 Comment Hassan..you captured the solitary figure in a sliver of light just enough to reveal details of his clothing. I like the frame of the arches which helps to focus on the subject and I also like the manganese blue hue of his clothing - an unusual color indeed!. I agree with Isaac's adjustments to remove the distracting elements. Mar 17th
58 Mar 19 Comment It's wonderful and rare to find a child not engaged with an i-phone or selfie these days. Your image speaks of a simple life and the closeness of the boy and the animal. Color palette is simple and the subject is framed in green with the fence forming bookends to the composition. Strong image Isaac! Mar 17th
