8 Jan 19 Comment Marcus …ain't winter grand? The icicles are definitely the focus point of the image and tells the story. Perhaps cropping closer to exclude some of the busy left side would be an alternative? Jan 15th
8 Jan 19 Comment Thank you for sharing the unusual story about your image. Agree with Mark about toning down the highlight on his right side. Jan 15th
8 Jan 19 Comment Mark…I agree with the others comments. His arm provides a natural leading line to his face. Would probably also work good as a B&W. Jan 15th
8 Jan 19 Comment Alastair…interesting image with the barren tree contrasting with the leaves at the base. I like the minimalist style and monochrome colors. Knowing that you are partial to a square crop, I used Snehendu's crop and further cropped to a square, as an alternative. Jan 15th
8 Jan 19 Comment Tack sharp and vibrant colors. Agree with Snehendu and took the liberty of flipping the image, rotating w/ slight angle and cropping to provide an alternative. Jan 15th
8 Jan 19 Reply Thanks Snehendu! an improvement for sure! Jan 15th

58 Jan 19 Comment Daniel…very nice subdued colors which fit the mood of this image. I like the "story" of the faceless, old man and the old woman. I googled the portrait and found out that it's Rembrandt's "The Prophet Hanna". I agree with Isaac's modifications which enhances the image. Jan 15th
58 Jan 19 Comment Jim..the blue cast adds to the sense of "doom" and the expressions of the boys' faces are priceless. Love the various hands. I agree with Isaac's crop and flip- which moves the viewer's eyes from left to right in a natural way. Jan 15th
58 Jan 19 Comment Dan ..very interesting image ..like winter in July! There's a lot going on and the action and reflections all add to the image. I, too like the boy in yellow and the boy in blue in the foreground. I believe the Xmas decorations on the left don't add to the image and would exclude them. Jan 15th
58 Jan 19 Comment Hassan…a peaceful moment and a lovely sky. The diagonal line of the pier and his fishing rod provides dynamism to the image. Unusual camera position and perspective point- perhaps taken at waist height? Cropping a bit off the left side for a tighter crop would be possible consideration. Jan 15th
58 Jan 19 Comment Isaac…I like the colors (red/ blue/ green) and textures of the image, especially his red jacket. The horizontal lines of the image - the wrinkles of his clothes, the slats, the railing, the sidewalk all tie this image together. The text on the background wall adds another element of interest and places the viewer in Madrid. His figure in repose has a calming effect. Good shot! Jan 15th
58 Jan 19 Reply Isaac, I had to check the original (attached) and I did cut her feet off. As you can see, there's a girl on the right who did not add to the scene and was cropped out which gave me the opportunity to make this an odd number. Jan 11th
