8 Oct 17 Comment Lovely bokeh in the back ground which brings the focus on the butterfly which is tack sharp, and perfectly positioned. I love the image taken in the environment and colors are lovely. Only mention is that you have a white vignette which draws my eyes to the corners of the image. I myself typically prefer a dark vignette as per sample, but up to you of course. Oct 11th
8 Oct 17 Comment Lovely song and the images of the bird in flight and full moon match the feeling of the words. This is a fine example where your photographic skills and creativity combine. I am sure your presentation will be well received, Snehendu. Oct 11th
8 Oct 17 Comment Mark..I like your B&W conversion. The veil adds a sense of mystery to the beautiful model. Eyes are sharp! I like the idea of the "sparkle" which adds life to the image - although I'm not quite sure whether the catch lights on both eyes match.(Sorry..don't mean to be picky) Oct 11th
8 Oct 17 Comment Alastair..good eye! Very interesting B&W with full range of tones from Black to white. I like the textures of the reflective surfaces and the group of three. I also like the open stance of the small boy. I offer an alternative crop which is asymmetrical; opened the shadows of the boy's face to reveal his features; straightened + added a stroke. Oct 11th
8 Oct 17 Comment Welcome to the group, Amparo. I like the monotone colors of sepia which works well with mood of the image. The model's face is sharp and this draws my eyes to the focus point of the image. I also like the textures of smooth and rough throughout which makes the image interesting. Oct 11th
8 Oct 17 Comment Very creative composite, especially the foreground. The curves draws you in to the model. As Mark mentioned, the lack of the one eye is distracting. Oct 11th

58 Oct 17 Reply Thanks for your suggestions Jim - both are valid points. The back story - as mentioned, I had this image in my files for some time and when I came across it again, it struck me as to how young Mr. Obama looked when he first assumed Office. As far as the offices being renovated - they are actually quite new and probably were undergoing a change of tenants at the time. I appreciate your feedback and am glad that it evoked a "story" each different for the viewer. Posted: 10/18/2017 13:47:32 Oct 18th
58 Oct 17 Comment Great image and textures Daniel. I also love the combination of B&W and color. Great capture and the suggested halo on the sleeping cherub.I also played around with the crop and have included an alternative which eliminates the shadow in the right corner. Oct 11th
58 Oct 17 Comment Dan.. I also like the moment captured in your image and the focus on the two individuals. I agree with Isaac's additional post processing and crop. Strangely enough the straws add leading lines into the image :) Oct 11th
58 Oct 17 Comment Isaac you caught a fleeting moment and the movement of the birds wings add additional interest to your image. Image is nice and sharp and colors are very natural. I love the interaction of the birds and woman and her arm forms a leading line back and forth. Timeless image! Oct 11th
58 Oct 17 Comment Welcome to the group Jim. Like Isaac,I also prefer the B&W image. The painted elements on her face leads to the eye and makes for an interesting image. I also like the 3/4 profile which shows both eyes. I think that she's used to being the attraction. Good capture! I agree with Isaac's post processing. Oct 11th

62 Oct 17 Reply I truly appreciate everyone's feedback..which has been honest and sincere. Experimenting with the software and knowing what works and what doesn't and using a big eraser brush has helped. Oct 12th
62 Oct 17 Comment Angela.. being that close to a fire must have contributed to a "red mood". Very creative to be able to draw this freehand and re-create the inspiration piece.Wow! I love the simplicity of the palette and the looseness of the strokes. My only comment is that the original has a "tunnel" created by the curve of the large foreground branch which leads me into the back of the painting. Oct 11th
62 Oct 17 Comment Hi Elinor.. the original image has a lot to offer in terms of composition. Like Angela - the pink color as a vignette is a bit of a distraction, although I like your premise of using a painted texture to soften the image. Perhaps trying a different blend mode, say "soft light" or "color"? Oct 11th
62 Oct 17 Comment Lovely rendition Gerhard, and certainly not your average backyard bird. I like your B&W treatment. I offer a flipped version - so that the bird is facing you in the frame, a personal preference. Oct 11th
62 Oct 17 Comment Tom, your painting of the lacy look of a leaf in decay is fascinating. I like the colors you have chosen. For me, the background and the leaf textures are too much alike and perhaps as Angela suggested, a variation of brush strokes and more contrast of the leaf would help. Oct 11th
