All the obvious critiques of the photo have been suggested: Zoom in to get detail, crop down to eliminate distractions. I have photographed many auto shows with a few "successes" and many "unsatisfactory" results because of the crowded conditions and distractions. A person could spend hours in Photoshop to completely isolate the subject, but I agree with TJ: Just make the best of the conditions and enjoy the experience. This is an excellent shot of a beautiful car enhanced with the reflection of the sky in the hood. |

The reflection of the sky in the water is what makes this such an outstanding image. I like the color variations brought out in post processing. In the words of my night photography mentor, Royce Bair, this is a great "Nightscape" (a composite of the sky and the landscape.) |

I admire your creativity and tenacity to build this composite. My impression is that Woody and Buzz do not quite fit into the scene mainly because of the differences in lighting. Also, it is hard to reconcile the right and left parts of the image. Your idea of eliminating the right side might be an improvement. |

A great portrait with eyes looking at me and a rather mysterious expression. My primary suggestion is to crop up to a line just below the embroidered collar to eliminate the embroidered sleeve intersecting the lower edge and to enhance the features of her face. Also, for future consideration, lighting that allows some shadows and contrast might improve the impact of the image.
Welcome to the group. I look forward to seeing more of your work. |

Excellent story-telling of historical medical remedies. The person that arranged this was either a photographer or an artist. I really like your interpretation of the subject. The cabinet is isolated from distractions and your use of light, color, and texture is very effective. |

I agree with the critiques already submitted. I think Sheldon's idea would dramatically increase the impact of the image. In addition, more contrast in the sky would add drama and interest. |

Thanks Peter. Good suggestions. Hard to get a "true" horizon in this vista. |
