17 Nov 20 Comment You nailed this one Sheldon. Except for the highlights that should be toned down, it is a great presentation: leading lines, texture, contrast, detail, triangles, geometry. Nov 22nd
17 Nov 20 Comment A great capture of an in interesting story. I agree with two points already mentioned: (1) A faster shutter speed would have sharpened the hammer (personal preference) (B) reducing the luminance and saturation of the greens would help with the distractions. I love the flying sparks. Did you consider a black/white version? Nov 22nd
17 Nov 20 Comment A beautiful phone shot. Perhaps a little more contrast/detail in the clouds. Also, perhaps try a black/white conversion. Nov 22nd
17 Nov 20 Comment Stephen said it first and I agree with his version. A big improvement on an interesting mechanical subject. If the top edge of the frame were extended a bit it might improve the composition. Nov 22nd
17 Nov 20 Comment Good suggestion Sheldon. I will try that before publishing this image again. Nov 16th

17 Nov 20 Comment Thanks Peter. Only a small fortune. We must suffer and sacrifice for our art. Nov 11th

89 Nov 20 Comment An excellent shot of a young bird with good composition. It might be helpful to reduce the tonal value of the background and possible add some vignette to add attention to the subject. Nov 22nd
89 Nov 20 Comment A nice small bird shot. I agree on the depth of field issue, even going to f/8. To my eye, the camera may have been focusing on the rock to the right side and not the birds eye. Also, I think a tighter crop would reduce some of the distractions. Nov 22nd
89 Nov 20 Comment A very nice capture with an unfortunate distracting background. i t may be worth your time to darken or replace the background in Lightroom or photoshop. Nov 22nd
89 Nov 20 Comment A very nice moon shot Margaret. I do see a slight halo on the edges which may be to over-sharpening. In Lightroom, be sure the " lens calibration" panel is set to reduce chromatic aberration. Nov 22nd
89 Nov 20 Comment Wonderful photo Gary. My only problem with the composition is the right eye: I would either like to see more of it or not at all. In any case, it is a good capture. Nov 22nd
89 Nov 20 Comment Thanks Gary. Nikon D850 and a Tamron 150-600mm lens. Nov 6th
