An excellent example of "Creative Altered Reality." Your time and effort with Photoshop have paid off. This is all about artistic choices. I like John's suggestion of inverting the blue background. |

A very well-done and "happy" image. I like the bright colors although the white reflections are distracting. Including your son is what really make this photo with a nice story. |

This image is a winner. The focus stacking technique worked well and the black background is a big plus. Perhaps a little more brightness overall would help. You should enter this in competition. |

This is a very nice iconic Palouse shot. I like your processing of the color and think Joe's version with the flowers removed is an improvement. |

A very nice composition enhanced with the silky waterfalls. The processing is a bit heavy for my taste and a little more room at the top waterfall might be an improvement. |

A perfect subject for Black/White. I love the crispness and contrast. More detail in the face of the engineer would be helpful, perhaps using the Lightroom "shadows" slider. |

Thanks Sheldon. I think the crop is an improvement. I went back to look at the highlights and clarity. The makeup was quite thick and obscured almost all of the detail except for some whiskers. I could not see much improvement without losing some whiteness in the makeup. |

Thanks Peter. The strap is part of the headdress. We did photograph all 18 models. We shot from 9 AM to 6 PM. Very long days and very tiring. The results were worth the effort and expense. This was one on my best workshops. |

A very good capture with a rare "head-on" view. I would recommend subduing the background d and adding some texture and contrast "punch" to the animal. |

A nice composition with a story of peace and solitude. Perhaps a bit more contrast to add a little drama would be helpful. |

An interesting composition with the layered contrast of the tones and textures of the sky, mountains, glacier, and foreground. Perhaps cropping in from the left and bottom along with adding contrast would improve the visual impact. |

A very nice photograph of a beautiful tree. Subduing the background and emphasizing the tree would help the visual impact. |

The harsh overhead light created a difficult shooting challenge. Subduing the background brightness would improve the visual impact. The hippo skull is distracting my eyes from the Kori, which I think is the subject. Bringing more attention to the bird and less to everything else would help. |
