17 Dec 17 Comment I think you should just accept that this is a great "grab" shot from a moving boat. Nothing much you can do with this to make it a good nature shot without a lot of work on the busy background and the head-neck exposure. Can't help you with the ID but it sure looks like a heron. 17 Dec 17 Comment I love the texture and colors of this image. The rock anchors the left side well. I agree with Dick that straightening the tower would have more eye appeal. Dec 18th
17 Dec 17 Comment What a great capture for a hand-held shot. The focus of the plane is very sharp and I like the colors. I think a little faster shutter speed would have captured more of the propeller blur. Regarding composition, I think a little cropping of the right to still feature the smoke but more negative space on the left in the direction of flight. Dec 18th
17 Dec 17 Comment The textures are certainly interesting and the monochrome treatment brings out the contrast. I often am drawn to capture images like this but find a limited audience who have the same appreciation. Dec 18th
