That orange goldfish in the heron's beak is wonderful. If you have enough resolution, or use gigapixel, you might make even a tighter crop of the head to really dramatize the event. If not, I'd darken the body and water around the bird. I tried the latter approach and just reducing the highlights made the bird's neck and the fish look better to me. Then I added a radial gradient and darkened the water and body of the bird. |

I love this kind of shot. I've never seen a yellow catfish and the color sets it off nicely against the dark otter. To my eye, the background looks sharper than the subject and the camera may have missed focus a bit. I think I'd blur and darken the background a bit and use whatever sharpening tools you have to sharpen the eye, nose and mouth. Cute shot. |

Lovely scene and I love the composition. The trees on the left and right balance each other out nicely. Getting really nit picky, I might remove the aspen in the middle of the left side that is cut off and protruding into the scene. Other than than I don't have any other suggestions. Nice work. |

Wonderful action and very beautiful. There might be a very slight yellow color cast on the birds. I like what you did in post but I think I would either add a bit more brightness to the birds or possibly less so to the log. I might also consider cropping off some of the space to the left, although it does make your wonderful logo look wonderful. |

Sweet lovable image. I thought the entire image could use a bit of vibrance and contrast and wanted to see how it would look with a crop that just included the area of most interest. I'm a bit bothered by the hind legs of the mother being cut off the way they are and I don't think they add interest. See what you think of this more extreme crop. I added some vibrance and contrast as well. |

I love your processing of this excellent composition. My suggestion would be work on the bright area just above the rock. I might try using the cloning tool set to color and bring in some of the surrounding color into the brightest areas to tone it down.
I'm not sure if I would do this next suggestion but would at least see how it looks. The wave that is just under the horizon gives me the impression that the horizon is not level. The image might be stronger without it.
Same goes for a different crop. Maybe see how it looks in a landscape orientation by cropping the top down to just above the rock.
Good eye! |
