Thanks guys. There are many ways of doing selective sharpening, such as in Lightroom with a brush mask. My preferred way is to make a new layer in Photoshop and add more sharpening than I want. Then I hide it all with a black mask and paint it in with a low opacity brush where I want it to the degree that I want it. I often do the same with blurring by making a blur layer, hiding it and painting it in where I want it. |

Very pretty. I really like the way the blossoms make a gentle S curve from the lower left toward the upper right but I'm bothered by the out of focus flossom that blocks some of that view. I might see how it looks as a vertical and crop a good bit of the left side off just to the edge of that out of focus blossom. I'd consider also fixing some of the blemishes on some of the petals but don't consider that more than a nit. The hard thing about a subject like this is avoiding overlap. All said, still very beautiful. |

You certainly nailed focus on the osprey. Nice behavioral shot. My only suggestion would be to reduce the saturation of the blue, as it seems on my monitor oversaturated. I might dodge just a bit on the shadows of the bird just a bit. |

Beautiful shot scene and photograph. If it were mine, I might make some slight changes. I think I'd tone down the sky a bit, as it seems to be competing for attention with the mountain. I'd probably look up how to enlarge the mountain and make it a bit taller, a technique I used to know. I'd crop just a bit off the bottom and finally do a bit of dodging and burning on the land.
I've attached a version where I cropped a bit all around, decreased the saturation and contrast in the sky and boosted the saturation selectively in areas of the land. |

Nice shot Ann. I agree with Ally and would add just a bit of space behind and on the bottom as well. To my eye, when the subject is too close to the edge it creates some tension and draws my eye there. |

Great shot Pamela and I like your post processing as well. My only suggestion would be to selectively tone down the luminosity of the green on the background leaves, but not on the nest. Nice job.
By the way, I shoot Sony and have a relationship with Bedford Camera and Video. The code "BIRDSMC" is good for a 5% discount and they don't charge shipping. Wonderful people. |

The difficulty factor for this shot is off the charts, near impossible with cameras of old. Amazing eye contact. There's not a thing I would do differently. Bravo! |
