Hi Ann. I think you're right about Viera and Merritt. Last I heard vehicles were prohibited but that may have been temporary.

Hi Tammie, welcome to the group. First of all, I envy your situation, having opportunities like this in your back yard. Bravo!
The image has a lot of immediate impact, with striking background and nice clean composition. The bird is tack sharp and in a wonderful position. I might select the plant, particularly the stems and leaves, and bring up the shadows a bit without adding any more contrast. That's a nit but I would at least compare that effect on your fine job. |

Lovely complimentary colors and I share your love of the curve. However, the out of focus leaves on the right side are distracting to my eye. I might prefer it cropped to just include a bit of the area. I'm not sure if I would remove, soften or leave the circular items which I like but may compete with the softness of the main subject. |

It reminds me of Viera Wetlands where the Great Blues often nest on the topped off palms. To my eye, the processed image has picked up a slight orange color cast that I don't see in the original. The colors in general look slightly over saturated to me. I might also include a bit more space behind the bird and then remove the protruding branch which your crop eliminated. Nice image of this majestic heron. |

I like this one a lot. Nice pose and background and great detail. Pixel peeping, I think I see a slight halo around the subject. I get that sometimes when I apply some adjustments to the subject and/or background and the selection isn't accurate or too extreme. If that's not the case, I think I would, in one way or another, apply some blur to the background and feather it into the bird. The specular highlights in the background look softer to me in the original and I prefer them that way. Subjective of course. |

I find this image stunningly beautiful. The blossom is perfectly placed and the colors are wonderful. I'd like to see a picture of it hanging on your wall. It will be wonderful. No suggestions. |
