Very nice I agree with everyone's comment and am particular intrigued by LC's. A dark background might look striking. I'd clone out the twig on the right going out of the frame and the blossom on the left that is a bit cut off. |

Great angle and, to me it's the wave that makes the picture. I might do some selective dodging and burning to add some depth. |

I'm in general agreement with all the comments. I might see how it looks with a substantial crop, putting the mountain in the upper third and the hill with the sunlight in the lower third. If you want to be creative you could also increase the size of the mountain to make it more dominant in the scene. |

A technique I frequently use with fast water is to take several shots at different shutter speeds. I typically use the long exposure as the base and the brush in some detail from the faster shutter speeds.
I like LC's B&W, although the blacks look too deep on my screen.
I wouldn't crop it. To my taste it is already too much straight across. I can imagine a stronger image with the river going off in the distance. That may not have been possible here and I agree you take what you're given. |

I like it. Male harriers are always a prize. They are known as " the grey ghost" for good reason.
I think I would blur everything but the bird more, but not uniformly. I'd add a lot of blur to the background, a bit at the focal plane of the bird, blending into the soft foreground.
I like the crop but may shave off a portion of the bottom.
Nice job. |

I also like the action and while eye contact is a nice consideration, many very strong images have none. What I find interesting is the haz. I'm probably in the minority but I like it. I may have applied dehaze with a graduated mask allow the haz to get stronger as the eye goes back into the image. Maybe even enhance it. I like your crop and the swan's position and would definitely put it in the keeper category. |

Great feedback Sharon, particularly about the bird on the right. I agree. |

Thanks Ally. I gave some thought to the crop and wanted the composition to include the flower that attracted the pair and to show relative size, at least to some extent. Purely subjective decision that could have gone either way.

Thanks Doctor!. Fortunately, we are not a "pure" Nature salon.
