I love this image. I think you did a great job with the background. Following on Sharon's idea, I might leave the stem, add some canvas on the left and put the flower on a bit more of a diagonal. At the least, I'd add a little bit more space on the left and crop in elsewhere. It might look good with a fade border where the background fades into pure white. Lovely |

Another very nice image. I'm with Sharon on the crop. I particularly like to crop in tight but sometimes do take a chance and cut off wings, but I try to avoid anything that looks accidental. I might be a bit contrarian on this, but I think the colors are too exagerated. The original looks nice and to me and my first reaction to the processed image was that it looked too yellow. I might brighten up the shadows a bit as well. I wouldn't worry about a catchlight on the rear giraffe as it's face is in shade. The plant in the upper left doesn't bother me in your version or Sharon's. That said, I'd probably try it both ways and then decide. |

Lovely image Lisa. I agree with Sharon regarding dodging and burning, which I at least consider on every landscape image I process. It serves to bring out the depth of the image. I think I would also add some contrast and texture in the clouds. A light brushing of clarity might be worth trying. I thought the blue was also a bit off and I think I would saturate it a very slight bit.
As far as printing, I think this would look good on any media. |

I like the image and agree with all the comments above. I like both IR and the color images but favor the IR one. You did a great job brining the texture out in the snow. I might suggest doing the same with the cloud behind the trees. Sean Bagshaw has a utube video on cloud sculpting that I think would work well on your image. You essentially dodge and burn either in black and white or with color to highlight texture and depth. Nice job. |

Great image Sharon. I love the separation you achieved between the subject and the background. It's great. My only feedback would be to remove the little spot, which I assumed was vegetation that's been previously mentioned. I would also consider cropping a bit off the right side which to my eye would make a more dynamic composition. Bravo! |

Because I am often shooting birds here in Florida, I shoot at the highest frame rate available. I've developed the ability to cull thousands of images very quickly and would rather have to go a lot of extra images in order to get the best that I can get. My sony a1 shoots 30 fps at H+ and that's my standard setting for birds. Thanks, Mike |
