Thanks everyone for your comments, which I always take seriously and appreciate. Having pointed out the leaves in the corner, I think the only thing I would change if I were to print this, is to remove the little bit of leave right at the corner. Personally, I like the sweep of the branch which is why I see it as a "co-star" of the image. Wishing you and yours a wonderful Holiday Season and thanks to Sharon for keeping us on track. Mike |

I think this is a fun colorful image and look on it as an abstract. It looks like partners dancing to me. I like your processing and how you treated the colors. I can't think of any suggestions other than to just enjoy it. |

I think you did a great job for the conditions and love the owls. Their expressions and wonderful. On the wall, I would do a partial cleanup. some of the white marks look like they are floating in space and to me they are distracting. I'd at least tone them down. I like the original composition over the processed one. It more clearly shows the environment and doesn't leave Mr. Sleepy in back in the dark. Nice work. |

I like the image a lot and like what Judith has done with the background. I'm torn on your question regarding the extra mouth. I don't mind cutting off animals and frequently think that makes for a more powerful presentation. However, for me, I'd want at least the eyes of the other hippo in the scene and would at leave compare the image with and without the second hippo. I'd also suggest a subtle vignette. |

I love the colors. I'm a bit distracted by some of the distant twigs and, although it would take some time, would remove them if this were mine. I would like to see the pine cone a bit warmer. I think it's taken on some of the reddish tones of the leaves but my brain tells me it should be shades of brown. This could be a monitor issue or just a matter of subjective taste. |

Very pretty scene. I like it a lot. Only a nit-pick but some of the water has hot spots that look blown out on my monitor. There may be some detail in there that could be brought out or you could clone in some from other areas. There's also some blue in the water, probably reflected from the sky. I only point it out in case you wanted to warm it up a bit and compare which looks better. I think it looks fine like this but hard to say without comparing. I like the color boost and might add more to the foreground. I know those trees have lost most of their leaves but I'd see what it looked like bring more life to the leaves that are there. Nice job. |

Magnificent shot. I think this is one of the best Bighorn shots I've seen. I like it both the way you presented it and Judith's interpretation, with a slight edge toward Judith's. I like my subjects looking from left to right primarily because I like to put my logo in the lower left and not have it in front of my subject. My only suggestion would be to bring out a bit more detail in the shadows of the big fella. His belly looks a bit dark for my taste. Bravo! |
