Very pretty image. The colors are wonderful and I like the overlapping flowers and the soft light. I might drop down the highlights a bit and see how it looks. The background elements, like the bright area Carol pointed out, aren't a big factor but I think the image would be stronger if they were removed. For example, the out of focus branch in the upper left and the tips of things sticking out from behind leaves in the left quadrant. Overall, I like the image very much. |

Great work Tom. I have no suggestions other than to get it printed and hang it on your wall. |

Nice work wingman. I like the interesting perspective and do feel like I'm flying formation. The only thing I don't like is the crop right in the middle of the legs. Now if you can only figure out how to fly above the gull and get this angle.... |

I agree with you and am drawn to the interplay of light with the web. I like this image a lot. Colors, subject all work well together. I was bothered a bit by the noise and that little dash of web above the spider. I took it into PS and ran noiseware, twice: once on the whole image and then again in the area to the right where there are little specs of white. I'm not sure if they are noise, artifacts or dust reflecting light. If I was going to print this image I'd take the time to work on them which would be painstaking but relatively easy.
In addition to removing the little dash of web and working on the noise, I removed the little area of color in the lower left corner and added some clarity to the spider only. Lastly, I darkened the whole image with a multiply layer at a reduced opacity. That gave me the idea of wondering how this image would look severely darkened, where just he spider and bits of web would be visible. May be worth playing with? Very nice work Lisa. |

I love the subject and action but can't get past the obstructions. I feel your pain. I'm working on an owl picture now where the background is pathetic and very distracting to me. I'm going to try to remove it and see how I like it. Lots of work. It could actually be done here too, but much more difficult with the branches in front of the bird. You might be able to composite bits and pieces from other images taken at the same time which might be an interesting exercise if you're willing to take it on.
Where were all these eagles? I may want to go there.

My kind of shot. I love the action and the moment of landing and the bird calling at the same time. The blue foreground and golden background is also terrific. The leading edges of the wings look blown out to me. An option, but not necessary, would be to clone in some detail to those areas. I think I would also slightly darken the foreground everywhere but where the reflection appears. Nice image Sharon. |
