Such a cool image, Brad!
The growth over the church feels so organic, and so in turn with the background. The hiker is advancing so confidently , it really adds to the energy of the image. I love the title - your friend's curiosity must be very strong indeed.
I really like the way you've handled the colors here - I think he would have gotten lost in the image, being so small, if he wasn't so colorful set in the b&w and desaturated colors.
Personally, I'd consider a bit of a crop to add a slight imbalance to the image, but maybe that's because I have a personal disinclination to center a subject. |

A very cool image, Alan! I really like your color/luminosity gradation from sunlight to moonlight, and how the druids become more visible as the light fades. You have a fascinating perspective of your shot of the balconies - I love how you shot straight on to the center one in the third column. It gives a very satisfying angle to each of the balconies.
Personally, I might fade the druid in the third column just a tad, but that's my personal taste. |

I think I see where you are going with this from an image standpoint. I really like the idea that she is returning from the distant past to once again face a disastrous situation bravely.
My personal tendency would be to decrease opacity on the princess 10% or so to make her integrate into the background a little more.
Alternatively, I think adding a filter to the entire image could make all the components feel related. If you have the Nik collection, Viveza's "Remove Color Cast" filter could give you something like this. |

You are a great storyteller, Aavo!
I too hope she escapes.
I like the way the bokeh is red, like the spider; the spider is very visible but it does feel a little camouflaged, which feels appropriate. I think you have a very effective composition.
I think the way the web sparkles between red and white highlights works especially well.
I like Brad's suggestions for alternate images, for future consideration.
My only suggestion is that the colors of the woman don't quite match the rest of the scene. You might want to add a Photo Filter adjustment layer to her with Red selected in the dropdown menu. Just a thought.

Personally, I think it's fine to use a statue as a component in a composite when it's part of the story of the image. But maybe that's because I've done just that myself. |

Such a dramatic image! The stormy sky, the ominous birds circling above, the walls closing in - I think that all works extremely well in that stark black and white. I love the texture on the princess - I think it really fits in with the rest of the image. And I think her expression perfectly captures what I would imagine a princess would feel when she is waiting to be devoured by a dragon.
I like that you kept her colors - it feels to me as if there is still some life and hope in her, despite the stark despair of her situation.
I like the light at the end of the alley - it also suggest a little possibility of hope.
For me, the princess being so much lighter and less distinct than the rest of the image is somewhat distracting. I miss seeing some of her detail.
Personally, I might try something like this - with your original of the princess superimposed over your final image, in Subtract mode at 80%, with a little brightness added to her face.

Thanks, Kirsti!
Here's what it was like without the lines layer.
