54 Oct 22 Comment Very well done, Alan! I like the way the shape of the entrance echoes the roof of the house. The name is perfect, because the man definitely looks undecided, standing there in the middle of the road going in. The gates are open wide, but I have a feeling of suspense, as if perhaps the gates will close suddenly on him if he does go forward. The color of the light in the house is a bit eerie, which is a nice touch. I wonder what awaits him.
I personally prefer your submitted version; it feels like night to me.

My one suggestion is that the road to the left of the man is a bit bright, and so distracts me from the house. 		Oct 19th
54 Oct 22 Comment What a great image, Maria! Very spooky and quite unique.
It's fascinating how much detail is easy to see even though the image has so many dark elements. I love the story it suggests to me - who are these strange creatures and where are they going? I like the way your updated version reveals the houses in the background and how the smoke rises through the branches.
The light at the end of road works really well too.

I think the changes you've made have really strengthened the image's impact. I can feel the power of that being inside the cloud!
My only suggestion is that you might want to decrease the contrast a bit on the clouds around the bottom of the image. They're brighter than the face and so distract me a little. 		Oct 19th
