Thanks, Brad!
No, the vertical white line must have been introduced when I moved the island over. A little "hand of God" of my own. Thanks for letting me know about it. |

This is a great image, Brad!
The sweep of the mountain range on top and the trail on the bottom lets my eyes explore the whole image and then brings me back to the deer being placed. I love how everything is desaturated except for the "hand of God". The deer is in such a great pose, both being interesting looking at the viewer as well as, with the hand, looking like a toy.
The burned out trees are so bleak, but the flowering bush and addition of the deer give some hope. When I see this image, I keep thinking, "If only it was that easy, that God would just fix all the damage we are doing to the earth." I think your image makes it clear how that's not something that will happen.
I wouldn't change a thing in this image.

I was playing around with it a little more and tried to get a glow on the whole house by adding a duplicate layer that was slightly blurred. As I ran through the layer modes, I came up with this with Hard Mix mode. Maybe more exaggerated than you want, but I thought I'd share it anyway. |

Spooky!
Those glowing red eyes are eerie, and her expression is great. I like how your granddaughter and the drooping branches frame the house. I think the golden glow in the window looks great.
I like having the lamp post in there, and I think you did a great job adding its color to the house and leaves. However, it's the brightest thing in the image, so my eye keeps going there instead of the house or those wonderful glowing eyes. You might consider making the lamppost smaller and less bright, and brightening up her eyes. |

Such a great image, Maria!
I love the way this image opens up from the top, getting wider and wider until we gt to the horse, where it becomes a tiny waterfall. The repetition of all the waterfalls is really wonderful, and it is echoed in the cracks of the dry earth.
The colors work really well too, especially that touch of green in the background.
The image is very dark on my monitor. I think it works well be dark, but I would personally consider increasing the exposure in the shadows a bit, because there is interesting detail there.
I think you might have a bit of a corner of one of your originals showing, where I circled it in the attached. |
