Thanks, Peter! Great suggestion! I think this works better. I also tried darkening it to be like the darker greens, but the brightness of the background competed too much. |

One of my earlier versions had more of the grass and forest, but I felt it was too busy.
I do appreciate the suggestion, though. It's always helpful to have a look with fresh eyes. |

Thanks, Aavo! Interesting suggestion. I gave it a try here. I get the idea of her carrying her own dreamlike atmosphere in a more realistic setting, but for me the contrast is too great. |

Very cool image, Peter!
Personally, I really like the balance of the planets; I think the sizes are just right, and very interesting. I know it's not realistic, but that feels irrelevant.
I really like the eclipsed moon being so near the horizon, as if it's balancing on the world we are viewing from.
Using noise to create the stars is very clever! It works quite well.
I might have tried having just the cypress growing out of the dirt, rather than providing the cliff. The rocks are almost as bright as the moon but don't really add to the story. |

I think this image is brilliant! I love the way the mountains seamlessly turn into a foothold for the ladybugs. I think the textures and folds of the flower petals work very well, especially being that soft blue-grey. The skies above and below are a beautiful balance (and yes, the image works just as well upside down, which is so cool!).
For me, the mysterious circle works to balance the composition. The bright blank spot between the ladybugs and the circle works very well for me too, though I'm not entirely sure why. I think perhaps it's because I feel that the ladybugs are creating a change below them as well as perhaps entering the alternate world above, and the change hasn't reached the bright spot or the circle yet.
In any case, I really love this image! |

This is a very beautiful image, Maria! I love the way the orange of the forest floor shows against the blue-green of the light.
The light in this image is truly special. Thank you very much for explaining how you created it.
I think your softening the trees with a little motion blur works very well. It keeps the focus on the woman and makes me feel as if the trees are symbolic of something more than just a forest. Very clever!
The image is a little dark for my personal taste, but I think a dark image works very well in this case, especially since it is deep in the forest. |

This is great!
I love the colors and Alice's confident pose. I can see her as a grown-up Alice who is not going to be intimidated by anyone. The composition works well. I really like the textured filter.
When I first saw it, I thought the little guy in the background was her opponent rather than a supporter, partly because of his expression. |

I think this image really works. Distorting the cans makes them feel like graphic elements, so much more than just cans. There's a sense of movement with the orientation of the labels being a bit random rather than all exactly facing the viewer.
I like your addition of the chefs, especially the one on the right. I like the way his hand comes in front of the next column of cans and then the knife slices down to the soup below.
I agree with Brad, it would be great to see variations on this theme.
Happy new year, Aavo!
