Very cool, Brad!
Great composition. Wonderful balance, and it's very cool the way the egret's wings are a mirror of the bridge.
I love the gritty feeling of the landscape.
It might be interesting if the egret was at a lower opacity, like a memory or a hope for the future. Or maybe even use Dissolve mode for the egret layer, in sync with the grain of the landscape.

Thanks, Alan!
I do agree with you. When I took one last look at it before I posted it, I suddenly thought "I should have moved it away from the wall."
Wish I'd seen it sooner! Back to Photoshop. |

This is really beautiful, Brad! It lifts my heart.
I love the colors, and the richness of the colorful center is very satisfying to me.
Personally, I quite like the stem - it brings my eye right up into that mysterious center.
The filter really adds to the ethereal feeling of this image.
I like the balance provided by the abstract dark areas on the sides in the center. I might consider just a bit less of them. |

Fabulous image, well conceived and beautifully executed!
I really like how her knee is bent - it gives me the feeling she is bracing herself as she shoots out that great beam of light.
Thanks so much for the link to how to create a beam. That one's definitely going into my library.
Great capture on the osprey! It's a great shot by itself, and fits perfectly in this image.
Just one tiny nit - the osprey's wing gets a tad lost in the dark background. Maybe a touch of a highlight along the edge would bring it out. |

Very clever, Betty! I love your little spaceman. It makes me laugh the you got his legs from the fellow in medieval costume. The spaceship looks quite believable and fits in great with the moody dark setting.
I really like your bright spots in the background. It adds to the balance of the composition as well as giving that eerie science fiction atmosphere.
I quite like the mist under the alien; again it suggests to me that sci-fi atmosphere.
I sort of wish the dog was standing in the same mist.
I had to really look for the plane. I don't think it distracts but it doesn't do anything for me either.
A very fun image, and even more fun because we get to see where it came from. |

Well done, Aavo!
I admit I don't know much about cubism, but this feels very authentic to me. All of it works well together.
Adding the gradient at the top suggests a bit of a mood to me.
Congratulations on a great image! |
