For me, there's a lot more tension and story in this version. Love it! |

Such a lovely image!
Such unusual texture applied with a subtle hand. They give the image an embossed look. Very effective!
Love the colors.
The curved lines on the wings bother me a bit. I don't know why, because I like them in the background, but they disturb the integrity of the subject for me. |

Fabulous, Phillipa!
I love the textures.
Wonderful composition, with his hat leading into the bag, and the rope bring my eye back around. I really like the warmth of the image, accentuated by the touch of coolness in his hat.
I would not change anything.

This made me smile! Such a great story! I'm hoping the monkey gets the most.
I really like the diagonal composition; it really gives a wonderful dynamic.
I love all the colors in your dinner (which looks yummy), and how they are echoed in the beetle.
The beetle's legs are gorgeous, but feel too bright to me given the light. |

So fun!
I really like how the adults going up seem to be sort of plodding and the children look curious and engaged. All that youthful energy!
The parallel lines of the staircases don't feel quite right to me; I feel they ought to be getting closer together at the top.
I like Phillipa's idea of brightening up the top, so made a copy of your final image, masked out the bottom, and put it in Overlay. What do you think? |

I think the red really complements your model.
I like having two views of her, with the larger face somewhat transparent.
I like the addition of the music symbols. I'm usually not much of a fan for something obscuring a face, but the right side of the image is so strong that I feel it works in this case.
You've brought a lot of elements together in balance - quite a difficult feat!
Personally, I would have chosen a more graceful and/or dramatic pose for the full body part of the image. Maybe the pose you chose is particularly appropriate for the type of dance she does. |

Very fun image!
Love the colors and what the monkeys are doing. Great timing on the shot and great composition.
Perfect title!
I'd consider darkening the background. |

Lovely image!
Great feel of depth. Love the composition. So many interesting details.
You did a great job with the post processing; it looks very natural. It would be very interesting to see your original image.
You might consider a levels correction.

Beautifully lit; you have such wonderful texture on her clothes.
I like your additions to the background. They give a great sense of place and time.
I really like her expression and pose. I think you made a great choice in adding something to the left. I would consider adding a little more, and maybe make the color more related to her side of the image. |

Wow! Really fabulous, Dave!
Very dramatic. Excellent pose in lighting that is spot on.
I initially thought it might be good to lighten the shadow on her near leg, but I tried it and like your version much better.
I would not change a thing. Wonderful image!
I appreciate the details on the lighting. It motivates me to do some experimenting on my own.
Her hair looks as if it is windblown, a great effect. Did you have a fan, or was it hairspray that did the trick? |
