Hi Gavin, yes it was my Tamron 90 macro lens. It is a very good one. |

Well seen and captured all these "right angles" Barbara. And with the sky addition from Carole, this picture is a winner for me! ;-) |

Good composition how the mountain is running from low left corner to the right high corner. One question: Is it really necessary to use ISO 400 with this good light? |

That looks a bit like a lost place - I like it very much. and it is a very sharp shot for a handheld one. Well done. I only would set the focus on the window only and crop the picture a bit. |

Ah yes, a really good find, Carole. The cobwebs are giving a really nice vintage look and are enhancing the focus on the right angles.
But David's suggestion gave me another idea: I added the flipped photo and merged it into yours. What do you think about it? |

Wonderful colors and more than one right angle. Good capture, Gavin. For our monthly theme Carole's way of cropping is a good way to prominent the right angle. |

Hello David - your photo shows, you are a welcome addition for our group.
Using the reflection is an great idea to multiplicate the "right angles". Very well done! I am looking forward your next photos :-).

Explanation: I did nothing to get the seed as it is. It just was a lucky shot and it was a nearly windless day. So I've got a minute for this shot. The seed just "dangled" on a very frail stem (like a piece cobweb).
About the "right angle": Thank you for your help, Carole - there is indeed the possibility to make a mistake with the translation into german. But I did got the "rechter Winkel" right ;-). But I have to admit, my interpretation was a very free one, I guess. So I am adding the picture to show you, where I am seeing the right angle (look at the red line!). I did not look here like the blue lines shows. Hope, that helps what my point of view was.

Yes Peter, during winter time you have to try something, to get color in your picture ;-). Good guess with this one. I only would crop it a little bit. And I've played the Fractalius filter over your picture to try a more playful look... but see yourself.... ;-). |

Marge, that's quite a good shot. The girl not just looks puzzeled, but on the brink of understanding, what death could mean. Most likely her first encounter with it?!
If you are following Art's advice it is perfect. |

Thanks for your comments.
The softened look and lack of color was deliberate to catch the mood of the sleeping angel. But sure it is - as always - just a matter of our own tastes.
And yes, the border is something we can discuss. But I ought to show, that this was a "card". |

A super good shot, Art. It shows a big dynamic with all the spraying sand. Really great! |

Oh wow, that's a shot I can only dream of. Love it. Very sharp, great colors! Did you some food on the wood to get the swallow in this perfect pose and point?

Very minimalist - well done for this subject. But the big part of white is really nearly blinding and it gives the only figure no "foothold" (hope I choose the right vocabulary here?).
I've added some of the already present structure into the white to show you, what I try to tell you.

I am sorry Craig, that you have to give up our group moderation. Best wishes for your next task.
With this fish catching cormorant you got a lucky catch in the best moment. Good shot. But there is much noise - that I would try to diminish. |
