Thank you for you very nice comments and advices - the thighter crop works good, Carole.
@Connie: The critical focus is a little flaw of my 17-85 mm I have to admit. But the repair costs too much and I am not using it a lot anymore. |

I agree with Gavin and Connie - I wouldn't know, you worked there on the windows, if you hadn't told us. Very well done.
This stone front is just fitting the theme very good and I like the blue tint, that Connie has mentioned. |

I am going with Gavin here: I do think the shelf is hanging a bit to the right end. So I played your well chosen picture with PS and once started, I added some work with the fractalius filter. I just love a good lot of books - but I needed some more color here (see the added example) ;-). But it is just my taste. |

You are good at reading these words! I only recognize the words: Beautiful, maid and beauty and maybe love - but it could be my lack of english here ;-). I like your idea with the shamrock.
Because it is an old love letter I would like to see some more vintage. Maybe like my added example (I worked it over with PS and the color lookup). |

This photo does all for the theme. If I read the topmost word right, it is one of the most oldest book (the bible?). With the grainy pictures substance it shows the vintage too here.
I like the photo and setting a lot.

With your hint, I could see now the two pages and that it is a book. Well chosen idea here.
Working on books is a lot of fun. I like especially your original photo! :-)
And I always recommend Connie's advice. Once I made a little fairy book for my sister and made only two copies - and now I'll never get it made again *sniff* (see added photo). |

Very good in light and sharpness. The birds head stays sharp - the rest of the picture shows action with splashes and blurred wings. Very well done. |

Very beautiful golden light here! And the light stars are an eyecatcher here. I slso pondered, if there could be some bottom cropping, but prefered to work in the brigthness and enlightening the darker picture parts. |

Very well done! A capture with many wonderful details - even the reflexes in the sun glasses. I like the various face expressions especially. |

The outcome was worth the temperature torture! ;-) This photo looks like a painting - really wonderful. And the various shades of clouds are giving a 3-D-touch. |

That's one great portrait, Craig, with a wonderful background. It would be a cover for the song "Lady in Red" ;-).
But I have one question here: Why did you need 1600 ISO? Was it so dark in the studios?
