I love this image! Very simple and a perfect example of how to use negative space. Monochrome lets us concentrate on the composition and mood created here. I think color would have been distracting. The subtle use of the texture is pleasing.
I use the Topaz alot. |

Walter, this is a wonderful image. The dark sky tells the whole story. It may not have been possible to get the boat in the foreground and the buildings on the horizon both sharp. The boat adds interest to the water so I might have focused a little behind it to get it sharper. Color of water is very pleasing. |

Connie, you did a great job here! The bolts stand out and the building in the foreground is sharp and nicely colored. Great idea to shoot safely from your window. |

This is a very pretty image - pleasing soft color and a darker background to set it off. I like Carole's rendition. This could be also cropped to a vertical shot. |

This is a nice record shot and properly exposed. I would prefer it flipped because my eye holds on the tail. I like the repetition of green leaves at the top and bottom - it lends some punch to a rather monochromatic image. It would have been nice if Mr. Squirrel had chosen a less buy background for his photo shoot. |
