13 Jan 17 Comment I think I know what you were going for but as presented here, I can't find a point of interest......my eye is going all over. I wish there was one thing to focus on. The lines of the trees are interesting but perhaps a closer look at one branch. Jan 11th
13 Jan 17 Comment Interesting movement created with manually zooming out. Very creative. Jan 11th
13 Jan 17 Comment The 'eye' on this tree trunk is very compelling. I like the composition of this. Very sharp. Jan 11th
13 Jan 17 Comment Interesting patterns......almost can see a face in this image. Adds a little mystery to it. Jan 11th
13 Jan 17 Comment This is a lovely winter scene. If you had just moved a little bit to the right, you could have captured the entire tree............the way presented, the tree is cut off on the right side. Jan 7th

14 Jan 17 Comment This is a lovely shot of tourists admiring the falls. I do like what Arun has done with this, though I liked the original as well. Shows the magnitude of the falls with the people looking out over the fence. Jan 11th
14 Jan 17 Comment Charissa,
This is a wonderful nature capture but I would love to see more pumpkin and flower. The surrounding area is a little distracting. I cropped out the ground cover and was left with the 'main event' which I thinks makes it a stronger image.

14 Jan 17 Comment I kept going back to this image and then realized that it screamed to me: 'black and white'. I brought into adjustments>bl&wh and it opened up so much shadow and brought out more detail. It was then sharpened in PS cs5. I like this version of a great landscape image. Jan 11th
14 Jan 17 Reply BTW, where were you living on LI? I live on the south shore (Oakdale) Jan 9th
14 Jan 17 Reply Thanks Fran.....I too feel that some of the interest in this image is actually seeing the sand particles. To each his own. Jan 9th
14 Jan 17 Comment You have brought out the details in a normally shadowed area of an image. Nice touch with the mother and child about to enter the town. Good leading lines of walkway into the town. Jan 7th
14 Jan 17 Comment The leading lines are very effective in this image. It gives the photo strength and leads the eye right into the photo. I wish the small blue portion in upper left corner could be cropped out as it is distracting.

14 Jan 17 Comment Fran, I love this capture of the bird. Certainly a different view of bird in flight. The only thing that disturbs me is the amount of negative space ( I have been challenged before for using that term, but it is a valid term used by judges frequently). I think it is a more effective image if cropped a little bit as shown. Hope you don't mind my editing your photo. Jan 7th
