47 Mar 26 Comment My first reaction was great shot! When I went back to it, it seemed to me to be a great start. The idea is really creative and tells a story of hardship. I think you might experiment a few edits. Bob's. comment that this could be two pictures a very incisive comment. I think it would improve the idea if you could integrate the two rooms into one picture,I think Try these edits: one at a time. Bring down the high lights so you get more detail on the two floors,( The floor of the background looks like it's from a spot light) the wall next to the fire place and perhaps the door. I would lighten some of the deep blacks. The deep blacks on the right suggests there is something there, and it seems to me is a detraction from the rest of the room and the room beyond. Finally, I would start experimenting by cropping at least half of the right side to the door. If you do nothing, you still have a fine photograph. Give some thought to the frame color. Black I think would be very dramatic, but maybe a less dramatic framing would fit the mood fetter. Mar 23rd

47 Mar 26 Comment Ilove this photograph. The little triangle fits well. There are plenty of triangles in this composition, This little just emphasizes the collection of triangles.and helps the dynamism of the composition. I think that without the clouds the black sky is too heavy. I think the light doesn't help the photograph. It seems intrusive. I would remove it and frame the picture. A white frame might work. 47 Mar 26 Comment I think is is a really fine informal portrait. I. would crop the portrait. Either cropping the left or the right works for me. I prefer cropping the left because doing so emphasizes your friend. The background is very nicely done, but it competes for my attention from Scott. Mar 22nd
