The subject matter is really interesting. The lighting was rather flat and the photo suffers from that. I'm not sure what Kirstidid, but her rendition has more vibrance and contrast . The vignette helped, but what was a significant aid was lightening the highlights and the whites. I would try cropping a bit on theright side |

This photograph , I feel, is really scary, and very creative. The starkness of the composition gives me a feel of a nightmare. The figure is unidentifiable and is above the viewer. Are we , the viewers, in a pit? I think the area around the figure are to busy. I would crop the tree on the left The bright light to the left of the tree is distracting. I don't feel the tangle of branches detracts from the image.

I really can't add anything to the comments. I am intrigued by the concept and my initial thought was what a great stage staing for the lay, Waiting for Godot. An alternate composition would be just the center section. This is a great photograph |

I usually don't like sepia prints, preffering a more brown cast, but the sepia works beautifully. I feel that the white areas around the fall washed out a bit and increasing the blacks would help. Also, I did not realize there was a child in the picture I assume others did not have the same problem, but I would brighten the two subtlely and shadrpen them or increase contrasst very locally |

A very strong, almost abstract image. Other than removing the trees on the left side, I wouldn't do anything other than framing. Consider a white frame |

This is a beautiful photograph. The contrast of the tree isreally arresting and not overdone. The dark background and ist arfe nicely handled. I'm glad you didn't try to make the colors "pop". Tom's crop helps the composition a distracting element. (if you hadd the whole boat, it might have been ok. Unfortunately his crop, in my opinion, spoils the color composition. I think an alternative would be to remove the boat, leaving the little boat. Darekening the larger boat, my do as well. |

You handled the hot spots beautifully, but the overall picture seems to me to need increased contrast. Try cropping the balcony in the bottom, especially the suppports of trhe bannister |

A very handsome and engaging dog. The background was really tough. Ian looks like he si floating in the air. 1would try just a headshot, which would captrue his strong neck and wonderfulalert expression |

Hi Tom,
I will really have to look at the picture in the photo editor for the greenish cast you see. I think dropping the sides is an improvement. Merry Christmas and thanks |
