This is a great shot, but it needs work. A few suggestions:1. The tree needs a tree trunk. You could cop and paste portions of the tree trunk that does show. pr clone out the tree BUT FOR THE MISSIG TRUNK I THINK THE TREE REALLU HELP THE PHOTOGRAPH.
2. The out of focus foreground seems to me to be a visual brrier and distraction. I would crop as much as possible , but giving the animal ground to stand on. That would also move the pack out of dead center, and I would crop on the left about half the distance from the leftmost wolf to the edge. 3. The misty background is great part the pack nd the hear surroundings are a bit flat. Try brightening the whites on the ground selectively so you don't disturb the wonderful background.
You have another picture within the picture--Two juveniles playing and the other young wolves watching |

As always your submission is creative and technically excellent. Its concept is interesting. I'm also a great fan of the Lord of The Rings and The Hobbit (Books and movies). But your photograph does not evoke in me the atmosphere you want. I have come back to this picture several times.
My sense is that it needs something, without your description, ,to indicate the scale. How big or small. It is not clear what this is. I think the background and foreground are full of detail that add nothing to the image of the jewelry, Perhaps you might try reposing the item in rock environment. |

A lovely environmental portrait. I would suggest lightening the shaddow on the dancer;s face and darkening just slightly her legs. I feel they are a bit too, bright and compete with the face. |

I think this is a great use of the medium. There might be another way to make the lady more dreamlike. Why not try to make the sailor's part of the picture with more clarity. In addition I would like to lighten the sailr's face just a small amount |

I agree with the cropping suggestions. Think, What in the scene before me makes me want to take a photograph? crop everything else. If you aren't sure take a lot of pictures--different angles, different exposures, different points of focus, Oftem less is more |

I think you could crop to the stem of the plant. If you can tease a little detail out of the wings that might improve this very fine photograph |

I think all the crop versions improve the picture. The day I waas shooting the streets of Bergen, it was raining, so in muy pictjures I had almost no sky. That said, I think I like the sky and would crop lthe bottom as ARusty suggests. I would leave a bit more sky and crop the right itens on the left or desaturate them |

I agree with the comments about color balance. TheTopaz effect I think makes the phot seem a bit blurry, although it is not. I would have just sharpened details. The eyes should be lightened |

Interesting comment. I saw the horizon as the edge of the foreground lava field. I think you may be right. I should crop some of the foreground. Thanks for your comment |
