24 Apr 22 Comment Good luck in the contest. This is a great shot. I really can't add anything useful to what otheres have said. Apr 12th
24 Apr 22 Comment There is something about the bird that makes your title just right. The placement of the bird also suggests that the bird really wants to move on. As was pointed out one usually leaves more space where the animal is going, but rules can be broken I'm not sure that cropping it so the bird is in the center-left really adds any interest. The bird is so sharp you could enlarge it, which would improve the presentation. You can clean up the dirt marks. Apr 12th
24 Apr 22 Comment I think the square presentation might work if the lower half of the ball or the center dark band were were lightened. The no dead center is not in the Constitution. A circular subject may have enough "movement" to make a very dynamic photograph. The photograph as presented has plenty of movement. The blurring in the right upper corner gives the composition space, but I would have cropped a bit less on the right hand side You might play with a gradual blurring towards the background Apr 2nd
24 Apr 22 Reply I never thought of that. I think it works Apr 2nd

47 Apr 22 Comment I think it is improved. I would play with different crops Tr more off the bottom Apr 21st
47 Apr 22 Comment This is a great photograph. His dreamy expression makes me wonder, what is he thinking of? The tonal balance is just right. Apr 12th
47 Apr 22 Comment This is a beautifully done photograph. You handled the clouds really well in that the tones are nicely blanced and they are not exaggerated. The only thing that bothers me isthat the castle seems too small and the courtyard overwhelms it. Try cropping the wall son the sides to the edgfes and the bottom just below where the leading line of the wall base joins the foreground walls. If you can bear cropping some of the wonderful clouds, try cropping something off the top. Apr 12th
47 Apr 22 Comment Unorthodox or not this is a very well done image. My first view of the picture gae me a sense the face was too large. On the second and third times, I felt it was just right because it makes the picture about her and not about the old haunted house. Her expression and the larger size of her portrait tells "the story" uch better than if she had been smaller. The rather flat contrast fits the story well. Apr 12th
47 Apr 22 Comment Kirsti's fix made all the difference. You did capture a good momentEven without the lightening of the man, the composition is really very good as apicture of the architecture of this little corner. the repitition of horizontal lines gives a good sense of order and the statute provides a good dynamic balance. The full range of tones gives excellent contrast Apr 12th
47 Apr 22 Comment I agree with your commends and changes Thanks
