24 Oct 21 Comment I agree with Jim's comment about the green wall background. I like the blue-green and yellow sparkle in the glasses. Not natural, but I think it adds interest Oct 25th
24 Oct 21 Comment I agree with Jim's initial commentsYour second crop improves the picture, but I would crop on the right just a bit to the first little peak. The light streak in the sky adds dynamism byby providing a conflicting line. Really a great photo Oct 25th
24 Oct 21 Comment This is a gorgeous photograph. I agree with Laura's suggestions about reducing the bright rock faces. I would simplify the composition by croping the left side to eliminate the rock face that his vertical. Oct 25th
24 Oct 21 Comment The composistion is dyinamic and alsmot like a red ocean. I agree with the observations of the others about the overexposed portions. If you havfe an HDR program. There are standalone programs or HDR functions may be in your photoediting softrware. You can get soe HDR beanefits with a single shot. May dupliates of your shot Darken one sto the point that some co,or or detail appears in the bright overespeed areas. Make another copy and increase the white balance so that you have detail in the darareas. Run the three versions through the HDr make the adjustments until youy get the best version. The color seems to be oversaturatedand/or intense. You might try desaturating a lettle bvit after you have tried the HDR treatment. Oct 25th
24 Oct 21 Comment As with all your photos that I've seen, the technique is beautifully done. But what's it about? It is posed, but I can't relate to the model. Is she smiling or grimacing. The pose is awkward. Am I missing something? Oct 25th
24 Oct 21 Comment I like the crop. It is similar to what I did in the version mislabeled, "Original". Your tone suggestions are just right. Thnk you Oct 5th

47 Oct 21 Comment I think the pole near the train does frame the engineer Oct 18th
47 Oct 21 Comment Try cropping out the top window panes. A third of the photo is essentially blank space Oct 14th
47 Oct 21 Comment A most interesting photograph. Tones are very broad ffrom white to black and you show how big the engine is. I would crop out the railroad crossing sign. The viewer will always be drawn to writing. You want the viewer to focus on "Big Boy. Oct 13th
47 Oct 21 Comment The watches really make the picture, but I feel they are too small. I would not have noticed that they are showing different times. Your idea is really good, ( the picture is moody and mysterious)but I would try several alternative crops. Be bold. Oct 13th
47 Oct 21 Comment This is nicely done, but the distortion caused by shooting up is, I think, a problem Some photo editing programs can "correct the problem, but may create new problems. If you straightened out the lines to correct the perpendicular lines you would lose bottom and perhaps side edges of the building. I think an effective photograph could be made from the roof line upwards. I think that is the most interesting part of the church. You have rendered the tones and focus beautifullyu, I think it is worth working it more. Oct 13th
47 Oct 21 Comment Thank you for your comments. The capture was a straight capture in RAW format. There is some noise in the dark clouds and a dark spot that I missed.
I hope you will visit Group 47 more often

47 Oct 21 Comment Somehow the B&W doesn't quite look like it was made from the color version you labeled as original. In the color there is a hint of a smile that makes the portrait a little more lively. Technically, the photograph is excellent. The wrinkles are more prominent than in the color. Personally, I think I like it better with the wrinkles not quite so harsh. Oct 12th
