Seeing this original, you cropped it as I would have. |

I have never heard of a plamp before so I did look it up on B&H's site. I can see that being really useful for so may things. Nice job on the photo! |

It's a wonderful shot. One question: How much did you crop? I am curious to see more of the environment around him (and maybe that is in another shot). Nice job of the post processing. I like the colors. |

Nice sunset and wonderful framing with the trees on both sides. On the top of the tree on the right side, I would clone out that one branch sticking in, but otherwise, it looks great. |

I like both the black and white and the color version. The colors in the photo make me think "relaxing evening." Now to just dig out the chairs. lol. I agree that it's better not to crop the chair off on the right. Nice job. |

I actually just used a small table lamp. That was part of the idea, use what you have for lighting that is easily available since not everyone is good with a flash. Natural light would have worked for this too. |

I have followed Matt Kloskowski for quite a while. He is mainly a landscape photographer and does a lot of teaching. One trick I learned from him is that even when an image is flat, slide the "Whites" slider to the right. It will show you the brightest parts of an image. Then use and adjustment brush or curves to lighten that part of the image which will start to create contrast. I didn't like your redone images because the sky went purple, so I started with the original and just did a couple of things. I lowered the overall exposure, ran the adjustment brush along the waves, and then used a curves adjustment to lower the "shadow" area. This was my quick first attempt. |

I'm impressed that you were able to capture this image at 70 miles/hr. It's nicely framed and I love the color and lines of the hill. My husband and I keep talking about going to eastern Washington on one of his work trips. This shot makes me want to do that even more now. Nice job. |

I love the line of the river with the line of the tracks following along. I thought the image was a bit too bright. In PS, I darkened down the photo, then using the adjustment brush and a radial filter, I added light back in along the river, tracks, and the field area on the left side. It's up to you whether you like it. |

Having composited a long exposure with a short exposure for leaves, I know it can be tricky. You did a really nice job. I also love how the trees frame the mountain. Nice job! |

I guess I should have read the comments first. I thought the photo looked a little flat, although I loved everything else about it. So I took it into PS and made a few adjustments. I wasn't as bothered by the tree, but the new crop is nice too. |

Wow! My image at sunrise doesn't look anything like this. Of course, it was a mostly overcast day. Now, I want to go back. Great capture. |

Now that you mention it, that spot does need to go. Thanks.
