This was taken in a barn and there was light coming in from both sides through open barn doors. Good point about the separation. Thanks. |

I love the idea behind this photo! I definitely get that your son doesn't care about his hair as much as a mom would. :) Photographing a kid's day while mom is at work sounds like an awesome idea that I bet a lot of people would pay money for. I can see this as the type of image any parent would love.
There are 2 things I wish where different. First, the mirror seems too high as it cuts off your son's chin and there is a lot of blank space on top. Second, I would have liked to see more of your mom's face. It doesn't bother me that she is out of focus, but shifting the camera to the right would have been nice. On the plus, this photo makes me want to try something similar someday when I have grandkids. |

I will be curious to see what others have to say about your photo. I took a night photo of a castle in Germany in Feb 2017 and almost put it in for comment last year. You captured the starburst on the lights (although I am curious how you do that at f4.5 since I usually need f16) which I like. Your sky doesn't have interest (and neither does mine). The lights mean that there are dark (no detail) areas in the front, which bothers me. I'm not sure if the white balance is correct. And there is something else, that I can't figure out, that bothers me. As I said, I will be curious what others say about your photo because my issues with your photo are the same issues I have with my photo. When I took my photo, I thought it would be awesome. When I got it home and opened it up, nothing I did made it anywhere close to awesome. |

Lovely flowers! I like all the colors together. The crack doesn't bother me as much as the harsh lines from the flash. I don't know if there is another light source you can use nearby, but if you get the chance, maybe give it a try. |

Nice shot. I was wondering if you got any other views of this such as one with a slightly higher angle to see "Travis Manion Foundation" words easier. My only thought is that I needed to read the description to understand the saying. I could Google it and probably find it, but it would be nice to associate the saying with the name of the Marine in the photo. |

I like the eagle in the tree as it complements everything else in the photo. There is nothing I would change about this photo. |

Nice job. It's been too long since I did any night photography. This makes me want to get out and do it again. |

I agree with Mike and John. I did try a different crop. See what you think. |
