You did a nice job with this. My only comment is that I think it odd to only see the mouth of the man, so I did a new crop. I'll leave the decision to you as to whether you like the crop or not. |

I love his expression. Overall it's a good photo. Curious why such a small aperture on a portrait. |

It was fun to also see the original and has me wondering why so many were attracted to the glass block. Enjoyed the photo. |

I also like Eric's edits. I could honestly use your help on something. I don't understand your attraction to a log with fungus on it. I don't mean this as a criticism at all. I see other similar photos like this that people take. If I took a photo like this, it would never make it to the editing software. Can you help me understand why this photo is so important to you that you would ask for feedback on it? This is hard because we are not face-to-face and it could be easy to interpret what I am asking as a criticism instead of what I mean it to be - a chance for me to learn and understand. |

You are correct. The flat area is the pier and it was getting wet from boats going by. It's a really nice area to take photos because in one direction you have the skyline, then you turn around and have the lake. I was able to get several really nice photos that night without walking more than a few steps. |

Nice photo! I have nothing new to add. My favorite part is what Virginia said about the position of the chutes and one echoing another. |

I just got back from Arches NP (and Yellowstone, Grand Teton, and Canyonland). There is so much to see and photograph there. I agree this photo shows the colors really nicely, but I would hope to see pictures of the arches or other formations. I have to agree with Mike on this one, that there is no focal point. Unfortunately, without the explanation, there is no way to know that this was taken at Arches. I would love to see other photos you took at Arches. I looked Tom up and he has some awesome photographs of the area. I really hope you were able to get similarly awesome photos. |

I liked the composition, but the image looked a little flat to me. I took it into PS Camera Raw, added some yellow on the temp slider. Also added a bit of contrast and clarity. |

My first reaction, before I read what you wrote was "ohh, nice". Good job. I have Matt's presets too, but haven't had a chance to use them. I guess I will have to try them out now. |

Love the composition. I love photographing waterfalls and do it as often as I can. I don't know if you have tried increasing your f-stop to 16 or higher. It allows you to get a longer exposure. I generally take exposures from 0.5 sec to 2 sec and then look at all of them later to see which one provides the balance I like between smooth, but not too smooth. (The exposure time comes from LOTS of experimenting to see what I like.) Not everyone likes smooth waterfalls, but I am telling you this in case you want to experiment. |

I like the composition, so I took the photo into PS Camera Raw. I increased the yellow temp slider to +67, decreased contrast and saturation, and increased clarity. See what you think. |
