I actually had more contrast at one point and then backed off because it lost the haziness that was a big part of the day. Looking at your photo against mine, I am realizing what I have is the most boring part of the photo in high contrast (left side). I may not be able to fix this photo to exactly what I want which would be that the more interesting stuff is in high contrast and the rest is in the haze giving the overall feel I wanted. If anyone has any thoughts to help this photo, that would be great. Hmmmm.... |

Looking at your photo has me counting the days until I am at Yellowstone. My only suggestion is to clone out the one twig that comes almost straight up from the bottom middle. I find it a bit of a distraction. Nice job! |

I definitely prefer the black and white. I was wondering why you cut out the leading lines from the bottom. I took your original and did a new crop keeping them in. I just grabbed a black and white preset to convert it back and make for a similar comparison. You can decide if you like it. |

Nice job with this rose. I have found I have trouble with red being to saturated at times when I take pictures of red roses, but this is nicely done. |

And since you have been asking about Seattle with my two submissions this month, here is another shot you might like to get. I would suggest waiting until they are done renovating the Space Needle though because right now it has construction boards around the top. You can get this shot from outside the Chihuly Garden and Glass museum. |

In this shot, I was on a tour boat that goes through the locks. I have been to Seattle several times, so I decided to spend the extra money and took this tour. However, if you just want shots of the waterfront, I would suggest either the Bremerton or Bainbridge ferry. You can buy walk on round trip tickets pretty cheap. I have done the Bremerton trip because I wanted the longer trip to see more of Puget Sound and timed it so that the sun was getting lower in the sky on the return trip for some nice shots of the city. I would suggest taking your kids with you for a fun outing. |

I might be the odd one out on this, but I'm not sure what the subject of the photo is. I'm not sure where to look first or where to land as there is a lot going on in the photo. I like what you are attempting to do so I decided to try a different crop and found I liked it better as it gave it more focus on the pond. |

I love the photo and if it prints fine, that I wouldn't worry about the noise. |

I also got to "enjoy" snow in April. lol I actually like the tree and wouldn't change anything about it. However, I might think about cloning out the partial bush on the right side of the tree. |

I like this photo. When I see lots of clouds, I think soft and fluffy. So I took the photo into PS and using the adjustment brush reduced the clarity and contrast on everything except the road. Reducing contrast can help bring out those white streaks in the photo. |

I love visiting Seattle. Go to Kerry Park. Either Apple or Google maps will get you there. My suggestion: go before sunset and stay through the blue hour. You will see the sun lighting up the city through the lights coming on. I did that and there was not a bad picture in the bunch. You do need a clear night to see Mt Rainier.

Thank you.I didn't even realize that it balanced with Mt Rainier. I just placed it approximately where the original moon was. Now I like the fact that it's balanced. |
