This is a great photo memory. Outside of darkening a few of the bright areas I wouldn't change anything. Normally, with a hand cropped off, I would suggest making even more of a crop so it looked intentional. However, in this case, cropping in would lose too much of the background necessary to telling this story. Personally, I think only photographers who know the "rules" care about the hands. Family will absolutely love this photo because they will be drawn to his face as I was. |

I lived for 11 years just outside DC. The only place I wanted to go and never did was the National Cathedral so I am enjoying this picture. I can't think of anything that I would change. Nice job! |

Cute photo. Seeing your photos each month keep reminding me I need to use my phone camera more often. My first thought was to add a vignette, which I see Eric suggested. Otherwise, I like it as is. |

I really like this photo and the processing is nice. I agree with removing the posts. If it were my photo, I would clean up the road. Not sure it's necessary in this photo, but I usually do because I like nice roads. |

Nice capture. I like what you did. I agree with Eric that you want to remove the flowers on the left. If you didn't want to crop, you could just clone them out. |

I used my Tamron 150-600 at 600mm, ISO 1600, 1/1600, and f7.1.

Do you use Lightroom because what I did can be done in Lightroom? I just used the Camera Raw Filter in PS. I used to take other peoples photos into LR but had to stop because if they had keywords on them, my LR catalog was picking them up. I use both. I actually started with PS Elements, then moved to PS. LR came much later for me. |

I appreciate everyone's feedback. I now see that it needs a focal point, but I could see that before. Thank you. |

On this photo, I really like the effect. My point and shoot camera has a mode that creates photos like this and with the right photo, I loved the effect. The composition is good as it draws your eye around wanting to see it all. Nice job. |

I'm headed to Colorado soon and again this summer. I'll need to see if this is anywhere near where I am headed. I think you and I have the same problem this month - no strong focal point. I did take this into Photoshop and dark it down overall. I then used the adjustment brush to add back a few highlights to draw the eye toward the truck. See what you think. |

I like the cactus as a focal point, and this picture makes me want to get back to the southwest. My first, though, was "oh no, the bottom is cut off." The other problem I saw was that half the picture is plain blue sky and the top of the mountain is running right along the middle of the picture. I redid the crop to move the cactus off center more and remove sky. Whenever I hit a point where I am not sure where I want the horizon line, I take a few different photos placing it high and low. When I get home and see it again, then I find one picture that really works best. |
