43 Apr 20 Comment I love the image as it is. The the brightness of the red contrasts with the brightness of the green and it makes sense to me. I have used focus stacking with flowers and always use a black background. I print to A3, use white mating and that goes into an off-white frame. The black doesn't seem so stark that way. Apr 21st
43 Apr 20 Comment I see 2 ways of looking at this image. with the unblurred image the people in the cafe are part of the image and worth a look at their interaction as your eyes go around and back to the main subject. The blurred image really does focus well on the magician and the girl.
In the original image there is a woman on the right side looking at the magician - would it be worth using her as a replacement for the woman looking at her phone?

43 Apr 20 Comment I love the composition with the stump and the fallen tree trunk. The colours work so well together. It's an image that I had tried so many times when I was in the UK - none of them ever turn out anything like this - wonderful. Apr 21st
43 Apr 20 Comment I like the second version as it gives more detail to the tree line, and also warms up that part of the image. For me, the dark cloud on the left is balanced by the darker clouds to the right near the horizon. I also like the tones the way they are in the second image - the beauty of art - ask 6 people for an opinion and you will always receive at least 7 or more! Apr 21st
43 Apr 20 Comment Fabulous picture of the bird having just taken off. The water drops are so sharp and really help to tell the story.
Now, here is a challenge for the group. The pelican stands out from the background, which is a little sharp. Given the difference in contrast between the bird and the background, would you cut this out and place it on a different background?

43 Apr 20 Comment Welcome to the group. I liked the first image as the dark areas, left and at the bottom, stopped my eyes from leaving the image, however, the latest version is much better and the eyes are incredible. Apr 21st
