I've worked out how to use the Colour option - still working on the Luminance. Select the colour picker/eyedropper and then select which colour you would like to work on - in this image I used 2 masks, one for the green and one for the red. Once selected you have the full range of editing sliders and they only work on the selected colour. The edits for the flower above took no more than 5 minutes - including experimenting. The screen shots show the sliders I was able to adjust for the red colour. Hope this helps a little. |

The Range Mask was one of the new bits added to LR a couple of versions ago. I finally found out how to use it. I selected the gradient mask, dragged the centre pin all the way to the bottom of the image. This changes the develop sliders on the right. Scroll down to the bottom of this bit and the Range Mask is there - not very user friendly looking. |

Hi Oliver, many thanks for the comments. I still use the M3 but don't carry it all the time. The lighting on the stamen is all natural. It's winter here in Lima and the sky is almost always overcast. This means that the lighting is soft almost shadow free. Behind me was a tall, light coloured block of flats that worked as a fill light as well. |

I can believe it's an iPhone! From the 6s and SE onwards the camera is excellent - and they can produce 12 - 16mb RAW/DNG images. I'm with Mark, I like the original with the vibrant colour. The crop and adjustments work really well. |

For me this is a very well composed image. The angles lead to the trees then the bridge. The half hidden cave leaved me wondering so good storytelling as well. |

When dogs are asleep we never seem to have our cameras! I like the expression and the mono conversion is spot on. I'm not sure whether you need the background top left. |

Good lines leading to the butterfly with the 3 flowers. I like the idea of spotlighting the butterfly, I'm just not sure if the transition between the light and dark is a little to harsh. |

This is a really good subject for a mono image. The subjects stand out well from the background and I like the framing as it gives good context and storytelling. The bike on the far right works where it is to keep my interest in the picture, however, maybe consider cropping out the front wheel on the left as I don't think it adds anything to the story. |
