Yes. You will need to practice and re-train your muscle memory though! |

I also agree with Mark. The whole image is the subject and the textures of the sand/grass work well against the mountains. |

I love what you have created. My only suggestion would be to crop out the water at the bottom. I like the placement of the bird as it leaves space on the right in case you decide to include a short written message. |

Hand holding this is all about the breathing. I used to shoot targets with a .22 rifle and we were taught to breathe a little deeper than normal and pause slightly between the out and in breathe. That pause is the time to shoot the bullet or image as there body is as still as it is going to be. Also, have a relaxed grip on the phone/camera to remove tension in the arm and hand muscles.
Thanks Linda, it works better that way. |

Ohh good, another different opinion! I wouldn't change anything - I like the crop and, for me, the bird is sharp and stands out nicely from the background. |

I like the tall effect and especially like the way the image flows softly from front to back. Lovely restful colours as well. I may take Linda's example a stage further and crop even more from the top. Gives you 2 really good images. |

I also like the original for contrast and exposure, however, it could help with Linda's idea to add a little more to the front. One of the reasons I change to using the star button on the back of my 5D for focusing was for action shots. I set the focus to AI Servo then kept my finger on the star and followed the action, the camera kept the focus for me. Also, if you only press the star button once it will focus and kept that focus - just a thought. (not sure how this works for non-Canon users -sorry) |
