Thanks, Christian. Yes, the face is lacking in detail from the rest of the statue, so I emphasized the good parts. I like the dark background. |

Michael, that was an unusual subject matter, but your explanation of your interest in rust, makes it completely understandable.
The great thing about the group is the variety of thoughts and visions for an image. I like parts of Jim's treatment of the ashes and handle, but Henry's for the overall look. I dislike Jim's removal of the adjustment slots on the right side of the image, which makes the mechanism incomplete.
I can only imagine the mashup of the two images with the proper exposure adjustments, but should be impressive.

Excellent image, Peter. I think the high key processing works well with this image as it keeps it light and airy. The heavy vignette takes away from this feeling. I would definitely put the image in competition.

Thanks, Jim. The blurred background is an improvement. As mainly a nature photographer, where that is not allowed, I forget what a difference it makes. Thanks. |

Excellent image, Darlene. I particularly enjoy the luminous clouds contrasting with the darker mountain face. My personal style is a darker, high contrast image and your fits the bill on all counts. The tree makes it!
