Great IR photo of the solitary fern, Henry! You were able to capture the details of the fern fronds. I found some areas if the background too 'hot' as they competed with the body and leaves of the fern. I think slight burning of the brightest areas would be effective for the viewer.
I also have experimented with a converted IR camera, so you might have identified a future submission for me. Thanks.

I always enjoy your work, Jim. This example is great for the dynamic diagonal features in both the bricks and shadows, plus the monochrome removes the distracting grass color and adds the emphasis of texture. Your crop also removes the confusion of the real railing and concentrates the viewers attention on the surface plane of bricks and shadows.
Good image!

I like your original composition, Wes, as to me, it balances the image without overly cropping, thus providing some visual breathing room for the viewer. I would have liked a little more detail showing on the top of the windmill, rather than almost total silhouette. That way it would complement the lighting on the brighter fence post.
Great monochrome conversion, especially for in camera.

Henry and Jim's suggestions have optimized both the color and mono versions of this image making two different, yet perfect renditions. Thank you both.
