I really like the image, Henry. I enjoyed the texture of the road leading the viewer to the man and then into the distance. You brought out enough detail in the walls to define them without being distracting. By eliminating the antenna your point of interest was focused solely on the man.
A very memorable image, Henry.

Great image, Jim. While I agree that Lance's version more accurately portrays the original color image, I like the grittiness and contrast of your version as it emphasizes the rough and decayed subject. This is especially true in the foreground floor.
To me, if you could dodge the stairs slightly and the dark area under the stairs, then I think it would be perfect.
Another great image, Jim.

A dynamic image, Sharron. While the truck helps tell the overall story, I think it distracts from the main subject of the man, so I like your final version better. The foreground is ever exposed and lacks definition, so I agree with Jim in adding contrast and burning in the road.
The drama of the curving leading line behind the cart and the visual counter balance of the sign vs. the cart is great.
Looks like you had another very productive trip.

Great image, Peter. I enjoyed the grid roof detail an would suggest dodging ever so lightly to bring out more of the really dark areas. I agree with Jim the the five spotlight are distracting and should be removed. Great image!

I agree with Jim on both the cropping and the mono being an improvement over the color version. Overall a good image with much potential.
I think adding a vignette and dodge and burn treatment to the grasses and tree would direct the viewer's eye through the image and add more drama.
What do you think, Allen?

Thanks, Jim. It is always a delicate matter when cropping. My goal was to get as many ripples in the foreground to sort of frame the subject. I took your advice and changed the crop. What do you think?
