Thanks, Sharron. Is was a great moment to capture. In Rocky Mountain NP, they congregate frequently in these meadows. This fellow was about 100 feet away, but have seen them as close as 10 feet from the cars parked along side the road.
This guy was a top 'collector' - - if I remember right, I think he was up to 18 in his harem.

Thanks, Jim.
I thought about making it a close-up, but instead tried to make it a more environmental shot by showing why he was bugling and simultaneously how he was trying to 'protect' his surrounding ladies.

Thanks, Beverly.
Sorry, no known relation to Evelyn, even though I was born in NYC. (@ 1 1/2 YO, I told Dad, "lets get out of this place" and we moved to VA where I lived until I was 38). Dad was from ME, Mom from IL.

I like the tighter crop of the original image to emphasize the texture and detail of the pine cone. I am still trying to decide if is too grainy/textured as it doesn't seem natural to me - - but can't say why. Overall I like the image, but something seem off. Help me out.

It is great that you corrected the perspective distortion and gave us a truly linear presentation of the symmetrical facade. Good contrast and sharpness throughout the image with the full detail visible. Good architectural image.

A well composed portrait with wonderful shading and light shaping the face. I like the B&W version that removes the distracting color in the background and draws the viewer's eye to the subject. Nice sharpness of the eyes and lips and not overdone. The lighter background defines the subject's head and adds some drama. (I didn't even notice the unusual eye on the original until you pointed it out, but congrats to you for seeing it and fixing it.) Great portrait overall.
