A great study in light and form, including shadows and repetition of details. To me, you kept the gray level at the proper adjustment rather that going high contrast.
Excellent eye, Henry, to find art in a simple scene.

A very dramatic and creative capture of a scene that had been photographed 1,000's of times before, but never like this! Great image, Jim.

Very whimsical choice and interesting subject. The sea horse just jumps out at you! While the tighter crop emphases the sea horse, I believe that it looses some of the context of the larger scene and doesn't provide the viewer the satisfaction of finding it themselves.
Excellent eye, Sharron. You never disappoint!

Good image Victor, especially with a 4 MP sensor. All group members are great with sharing your suggestions. Of the different views, I then to like Henry's best with the more balanced sky and pano crop.
I would have modified it by increasing the detail and contrast and brightening the dark buildings and increasing the light rays.

I like the overall composition, Allen, but being the 'nature' guy, I find the fence distracts from the scene of the grasses. I believe the no crop on the the sky balances the foreground and still keeps the emphasis on the grasses (as shown in your example above). When converting to B&W, I would increase the sharpness to highlight the texture of the hill of grasses even more.

I agree, Jim. I had too much dead space when trying to include the whole tree, so I elected to crop the top and concentrate on the lower branches. I appreciate you effort.

Thanks, Henry. I agree that the noise culprit may be the Silver Efex preset. Do you suggest sending it through another process like Topaz DeNoise AI afterwards to clean up the noise? I couldn't find another preset that would give me the detail as this one, but it comes at a price, as you noticed. |

Thanks, Sharron. I think that the 'spot' wasn't that visible until I added a vignette - - - and then I didn't review the images before sending.

Thanks, Victor. You gave logic to a series of actions that just 'felt right'.

Thanks, Allen. Since I shoot nature and can't clone out anything, I left the tree in so I could keep the rabbit bush in the lower right side. If it weren't nature, yes I would have cloned it out. My bad, I missed the sensor 'spot' as I could remove that legally.
