Thanks, Allen. Yes, I could see a vertical or square crop as an alternate image.

Thanks, Jim. I like the crop.
The brightened trees, while attractive, do they defeat my stated purpose of making it "more threatening"? Your thoughts?

Great capture, Jyoti. Most photographers shoot the full moon at the peak time, however if it is shot 2 nights after peak time, you will get more crater shadowing like you have in your image. Excellent exposure.

A timeless image, Jim. I immediately noticed and appreciated the sharpness of your image. I can also see what Allen is suggesting, as more period appropriate treatment. Either way, you captured a great image.

Congratulations, Sharron, for a very original shot (at least for me). I think your posing of them makes the shot - just close enough and not too far, alignment of the chins, etc. Very effective and a lifetime keepsake for them.

Great work in increasing the depth and texture over the original. I don't find the leaf too distracting, but it would have added botanic value if it were a lily leaf. Excellent background replacement.
I also have a collection of luminosity masking programs (Lumenzia <my favorite>, TK6 and others). Would you have considered using a lumenosity mask on this image?

Great image, but I like Sharron's adjustments on your image. The tighter cropping does emphasize the butterfly more. The visual weight of the larger blossoms offsets the darker shade of the butterfly and presents a balanced image.

Thanks, Allen. I can always count on you for a great suggestion on how to improve.
I saw the tree on the left, but thought that it framed the darker center portion. It is not as noticeable in the color version.
I didn't think of the vertical crop as I was trying to be more inclusive. In your opinion, does the vertical "make or break the image" or only slightly improve it?

Thanks, Jyoti.
This was taken on a stretch of road going towards Tarpon Springs which is north of Tampa.

Thanks, Sharron. You always bring an interesting perspective to an image. I will have to try some dodging an burning back there so see if I can effect your thoughts. Within Nature Division, I can't make a real light, but I will try it with PID color and PID monochrome as I have software that can place a radiating light source there. Great idea, thanks.
