11 Mar 18 Reply I think that you improved the image greatly. By cropping in the middle of the boundary trunks, you created a cozy composition. Thanks.

11 Mar 18 Comment I like what you did to darken the ski/clouds, Jim, but I find the dark foreground and shadows overwhelming to the extent that it doesn't really appear as snow. Allen's crop helps my concerns somewhat, as it reduces the amount of shadows, but I still think the shadows could be lighter. I like the details that you were able to capture throughout the image with your long depth of field, especially the ice on the foreground tree.

11 Mar 18 Comment Wonderful subject and composition, Sharron. You achieved the full tonal range with your conversion to B&W as the smoke gave you a lot latitude to work with. Nice detail on the lady which contrasts with the soft background.

While I like the sketching technique overall, I feel here that it distorts his facial features slightly on the left-side of his face and forehead. I think a little shading to better define his left eyebrow and cheek would improve the image.

Beckett looks like he knows that he will be performing as your model for years to come.

11 Mar 18 Comment Good composition, Allen. My original thought was that there was not enough detail in the blossoms - - - they almost appeared blown-out. I think Sharron captured what I was thinking and then improved upon it with her burning in the foliage and background. I like her interpretation of your excellent image.
