I have most Topaz products, but I much prefer DXO for its new Prime DeNoise found in Photolab and also I believe in its new RAW product. Trials are free of course. Photolab has many unique features because DXO is primarily staffed by physicists not marketers. |

I had a few minutes to browse and was curious to learn the assigned subject, thinking I might want to join. Well this topic is impossible for me because living in the desert I very rarely see rain. (7"/year is normal and that's mostly at night.) I think I recall seeing fog early one morning in 16 years!
I really like your minimal image and choice of a panoramic view. |

I hate to be repetitive but I wrote the following before reading the comments above.
Wow, fantastic, and thanks for providing the details. I'm looking forward to trying it out. |

Thank you. I have fun, but am still working to try to produce my exact color choices and combinations. |

Rusty cars are great but i've found lots of rusty equipment and Venice had rust everywhere. It's decayed walls were wonderful too. |

Glad you enjoy the colors. My wife looks at my abstracts and always asks, "What is it?". And I prefer not to give them titles. |

Thanks. I keep thinking of that possibility for many of my abstracts but haven't found anything suitable to me yet. |

I'm always torn between revealing the true source or not. Abstracts are not intended to be representative of any one thing, but my wife always asks, "What is it". |

My thought today is to make new versions by cropping and focusing on details and patterns that may be less distracting. |

I think you did a great job of capturing the power of the water. The composition is also improved by your cloning.
The tinge of purple in the lower left water spray is a bit distracting though.
I had a fun thought. Add a faintly visible person being hit by the wave. I can't do it but I can imagine it. |

I think you did a remarkable job of believably sizing and fitting Thumbelina inside the water lily.
I think one of the most challenging aspects of making composites is to provide directional shadows. In this case, I think it appears that a shadow produced by a petal has become the shadow produced by her extended leg. That shadow well matches the direction of the shadow from her hand. Being very picky, maybe, it could use a slight shadow below the foot too. Beautiful. |

I like how the black and white surrounding the color contributes so well to the aged impression I get from this.
A sharper image would better meet my taste though. |

Thank you very much. As always, excellent images are excellent in many variations. My personal preference is black and white in this case. |

I like what you have done and given your title I would consider also making a monochrome version in sepia or black and white.
Beautiful! |

Much better, but I think flowers are best portrayed as soft, delicate and colorful. |

I haven't sold my Nikon equipment yet, but I feel very comfortable relying primarily on my phone and using it in special circumstances.
In the case of my flower photos, iit appears to me that Google automatically added DOF through judicious use of its 15 snaps with my one click. It makes no mention of stacking. It would take me a lot of thought and work to do that with my Nikon. I think all photography reviewers are too indebted to major camera manufacturers to take the trouble to do a detailed analysis of Google's AI. I think DXO with its body of physicists is best able to do it, but it has ignored its complexity.
It doesn't help that Google is protecting its proprietary intelligence by not providing details. |

I'm amazed by the apparent increased detail in your mono version. I like it.
50 years ago, I enjoyed using a manual lens and had the eyesight and steady hands to do it. Of course, getting on my hands and knees is out of the question now too.
I have recently been comparing hand held, close-up cactus flower shots with my Google Pixel 4XL with my Nikon D810 and 105mm lens. The phone camera easily won the sharpness test, at least for me. The saguaro flowers are out of reach though. (Blooming very early this year.) |

Yes, we are fortunate to be touring again. Here in Logan almost everything is back to normal. I hope we never go through another ordeal as we have for the past many months. |

Yes, but. I believe the slope is natural. Perhaps, I'll be able to see and photograph it again after we leave our summer residence in Logan, UT in mid-Aug. we have yet to plan our route East to visit relatives in IL, NJ and VA. |

What often happens in the desert is that the rain evaporates before it hits the ground, because it's so light. I've also learned that the desert plants have adapted to obtain moisture from the air as well as the ground.
Fortunately, I have a sprinkling system that allows me to grow almost anything while only getting about 7" of rain annually. |

I find that auto software isn't perfect either. I document thousands of paintings in art museums and spend hours getting everything squared. |

Wonderful subject matter, but I don't think the square format takes full advantage of the graphical detail. I think a portrait format original would have provided a much stronger composition. |

Yes, a very beautiful patterned, wood ceiling, subtly rendered. The glow of the over exposed windows has some appeal to me but I would prefer to have it metered to evenly expose the windows. I think all our cameras now have the necessary dynamic range to capture the entire scene with the assistance of software. |

I really like the tonality and detail. Personally, I can visualize the pink jerk, red rocks and deep blue sky.
A guest visitor of mine once forced me onto a pink Jeep tour. I think the driver deliberately made the ride as rough as possible. It was impossible to take pictures while driving. Tips are accepted!!! |

Wonderful detailed shot of the mules. I suggest cropping 1/3 off the left, almost to the flag and blurring the people on the right. It's all about the mules to me. |

I had a dogwood tree in NJ for 15 years and never saw perfect flowers such as these. Flowers. Have all the characteristics needed for a good graphical image for a monochrome, but never exceed the beauty of color. Fortunately, the needed insects aren't't color blind. |

I'm pretty sure the natural slope of the land is accurately shown. I have encountered a couple pano mistakes over the years, but it has always been with a clear cut break in the horizon line not a simple bend.
I'm glad you like the depth. I think the SW is best depicted in pianos. |
