I think you greatly improved your original. It would add interest for me if you added a ghostly subject in the distance.
I think Original 2 is great as is! |

I'm sure you could make many more beautiful creative variations of your beautiful original. I'd experiment with the distortion filters.
I think having a bright area at the bottom of an image always creates a s distraction. I would make that area a darker blue to ground this one. |

Not seeing the original. I imagine it as a Chihuly original with a vase inside a leafy shape. Very nice. |

I'll take the opposite view from ian. I'd crop off the bottom and add an odd or unusually colorful sky. |

I like all of the many things you have done to create an interesting image.
Personally, I'm always looking for faces in wooden boards, bark and elsewhere. So, I would have cropped off the knot on the left to enjoy the bird face I see on your original. |

Thanks, I have many more compositions that may benefit from added color. I may do a series.
I've kept busy this week editing and ordering mugs with many different panoramic images of mine. Sam's Club had a deal for 11 oz. @$2.50 and 15 oz @$5with free shipping. So, I sent them to menu friends and relatives around the country. I like their quality and permanence and it maybe even enjoyed daily. |

Thanks for visiting and commenting.
Personally, I think all monochromes are creative too, because lacking color makes them unrealistic. |

Thanks. I'm encouraged to do this on a series of desert scenes. |

As with most landscapes, I think a close object may have contributed added depth, but thanks. I have a great number of desert landscape pictures that I feel could use added color. |

Great idea, excellent composite and I think almost wonderful. My problem is that the story isn't there for me without the title. My initial impression was that the image appears odd not quizzical.
I would have much preferred to see the full face and would not have a problem with it being painterly. Just placing her at the edge of the image promotes the idea of the guy missing something. Which is good.

I really like this one. Perhaps it's my favorite one of yours with a figurine. Very clever and creative as is.
My idea is to add a silhouette of a witch on a broom flying in front of a moon in the upper right background.

I frequently find faces in trees and other subjects but never a skull. Good idea, well done. |

I find your picture very appealing, especially the combination of colors and texture with a delicate stroke.
The idea of a falling heart didn't come across to me, so a simple shadow would suffice to add depth. I wonder if turning the leaf a bit counterclockwise might add interest to the composition. |

Thanks. Actually, my first edit is to crop and straighten as necessary. I originally straightened this one too, but somehow switched to an uncorrected version along the way.
I use DXO Photo Lab for correcting all distortions including volume distortion caused by wide angle lenses. I think it also has this best noise reduction alogorhythms and lens corrections. |

Thanks, I will have to write that down to help me remember DDG 83. I look forward to seeing your work.
Having had a career in big Pharma, I favor using vaccines but I'm concerned that there has been little mention of side effects and possible long term effects. I have worn a MMM N95 mask since April against the original advice. Keep safe and have a Happy holiday season. |

Thank you. I like what you have done very much because it maintains my focus on the window as does the original. I think that I'll try to build on your version by applying a slight gradient to the bottom of the wall to darken it and hopefully not create a distraction.
I must learn to patiently experiment with the color filters as you recommend. |

Thanks for the idea. I ordinarily only use color channels in creative abstracts. The blue, I know will be gray after correcting the WB. |

It's exactly that complexity that most interested me. Perhaps I'll try to make it more abstract for color variations.
Thanks for your thoughts. |

Yes, I agree brown is a good "dirt" choice in many regions. Perhaps a vignette would focus my eye a bit more. |
