18 May 20 Comment Wonderful. One of life's little joys.
Keep safe.

18 May 20 Comment Do blue bells have a scent? We did a garden walk this evening to see a large variety of irises. Beautiful, but no scent. May 31st
18 May 20 Comment I find this a very pleasing scene with beautiful flowers tastefully.enhanced. I don't think I've ever before seen such tall bluebells. Texas has fields of wild but shorter bluebells. I look forward to seeing your next image.

I find the bright yellow pulling my eye away from the flowers though. Perhaps it could be darkened a bit and desaturated or cloned to more greenery..

20 May 20 Comment This brings back good memories. I'd like to return some day. I think Shirley says it all. I only add the option of reducing the opacity of the creative filter. May 29th
20 May 20 Comment I feel you have told a wonderful story with the creative image. The color and texture, I believe, was well selected and contributes to its overall appeal for me. May 29th
20 May 20 Reply I wish I could take credit for #2, but Google submitted it to me and I just tweaked Clarity. What it does automatically and routinely, converting RAW to jpg is most remarkable. It's AI always, I think, is beyond what any human can do. I haven't seen a phone reviewer knowledgeable enough to recognize that. In almost every circumstance I choose my Pixel 4 over my Nikon D810. 20 May 20 Reply Thanks. I feel I learn something from every new filter I use. It's fun.
Hey, only 99 today. 70s next week as we start our summer in Logan, UT.

20 May 20 Reply My goal was to give the image a Van Gogh look without using a preset. It's rather harsh to my eye but fun to try.

I have started carefully brushing out the Topaz effects in the sculpture and think the suggestions I received will work well. Thanks to you and Shirley.

I'm being distracted from my creative playing by now doing necessary preparations to flee the record heat. We have gone from unusual wet and cold weather to record heat with only 1 week of Spring between.

20 May 20 Comment Glad you are feeling well again!
That has a storybook look to it for me. Very pleasing. I look forward to seeing your next creation.

Studio 2 is encouraging me to rework perhaps thousands of images in new creative ways. First, very simply but then in more complex and precise ways as I continue to learn its tools. I have one image with at least 10 variations. It helped me learn a small number of its options. It made me feel a need to share images weekly rather than monthly.

Of course, my wife thinks I'm wasting my time as she is occupied sewing.

20 May 20 Reply #2 is an unedited version made by Google Photos. I tried to force the viewers eye to the chapel. Maybe, I shouldn't have dodged his highlights? However, based on your reaction perhaps I should make him and the bench another color, dark rust or the original color? May 3rd
20 May 20 Comment I really like your creative concept, negative and toned.
I find the bottle in the center distracting though and would be improved to my eye if the man's hand was gripping it.

20 May 20 Comment That looks like fun and it provides loads of photographic opportunities.
I like the color, patterns and detail. I would prefer to see the center brighter with the light trailing off to the right. Essentially, drawing my eye towards the center.

20 May 20 Comment Very well done!
My challenge to you is to next show a triple jump in action! I bet you can do it. Ordinarily, I never ask anyone to do anything I can't or wouldn't do. This is an exception.
I thought of suggesting that a table might add to the story, but my second thought is that your concept is best. The floating board goes with the ghostly players.

64 May 20 Comment This is not the first time that I overlooked the finishing touch of a thin stroke. I'll do that and move on to have more fun experimenting as I sometimes ignore rules to emphasize a point. May 7th
64 May 20 Comment I think you successfully conveyed your message, and I think you used your lighting well. I'd just like to see her eyes brighter. May 7th
64 May 20 Reply This certainly isn't what I saw originally. I have never before deliberately created an image with such stark contrast. My intention was to draw the viewers eye back and forth between the bright areas while noticing the shadow silhouette between them.

I like to create variations, so I'll make one as you suggest. Im concerned that it will distract from my original intent.

64 May 20 Reply I understand, so I'll either crop a little or add detail. I cropped off that entire segment with the Indian silhouette in another image. May 4th
64 May 20 Comment I think you have a great eye to make this composition. Simple, very compelling to me. Easily overlooked by most people. I like it as is, but would try variations with added detail and perhaps more contrast. You might have multiple winners. May 3rd
64 May 20 Comment Yes, I immediately saw the face without seeing your title. So, chalk up another successful image. I also look for faces on trees, but also many other places.
The challenge for me is to dodge and burn to emphasize or even create facial features. My only suggestion for you to consider is cropping or darkening the left side.

64 May 20 Comment Super, dynamic appeal to me with both images. Yes, my first thought was a hurricane but then I saw the eye of an eagle. Perhaps I'd dodge the center a tad? I have also found these types of images lend themselves to a square format too.
I too am now making both creative and mono versions of many old pictures. My goal is to improve my monos while I continue to explore and learn unlimited potential of Topaz Studio 2.
