Beautiful!
Living in the desert for 16 years, I have only faint recollections of seeing heavy frost. |

Great! It's so well done, it doesn't even need a title. |

I think your efforts were worthwhile time spent. Perhaps a lighter background without the wood would have emphasized the musicians a bit more though. |

Beautiful stilll life. Good choice and application of Topaz. Hallmark cards could use it.
Personally, I would burn in the bright area to the left even though it appeared brighter in the original. |

Thanks. The more I try, the luckier I get. However, I never know when I'll see another image that I think will work. |

Thanks. The original artist should be given credit for the color harmony, I am not artistic enough to construct an image from scratch with that harmony.
My wife usually reacts to altered reality by asking "What is it?". Even she likes this one. Perhaps she is learning to appreciate what she feels? |

Yes, I think this one is better because it's less balanced and more dynamic.
Keep practicing the technique. I think cropping is key once you learn the necessary steps. There is always uncertainty and a bit of luck, even with experience.
When friends ask me how to be more creative, I suggest they keep asking themselves, "What if?" as they experiment with various filers, sliders, etc. we are lucky that our costs are fixed, so it takes time, patience and imagination. |

I think you did a great job of emphasizing the singer and I like the border effect too. Thanks for the detailed description.
If your original has details in the highlights of the window, I would like to see them. |

Mouth watering, so obviously a successful creation. The alien is a good added touch of interest. |

Wonderful image and thought.
I have yet to explore making compositors like this. Thanks for the detailed explanation. |

Very good! The crop also contributed strongly to the emphasis. |

I think you created an interesting effect. I especially like the background and wonder how it would look with the original flower? |

Generally, plain skies are to be avoided, but I this case I think it contributes to the loneliness of the horse. I just suggest applying clarity first to the hills and possibly to the entire image.i assume you're histogram has a big hump in the middle. So, applying contrast may help too. Just experiment to your taste. |

I think the dramatic clouds complement the fierce totem pool. It's too bad the scene is cluttered with distractions, but that's what often happens with street scenes. I would like to see more shadow detail at the top of the tormeynt poll. I'd also like to eliminate the glow around the totem poll and lighten the dome. |

Congratulations on your awards.
I like the composition and face but find it awkward to see the back lit more prominently than the front. I also miss seeing a catchlight in her eyes |

I find this interesting and generally well done. My preference would be see a tighter crop and eliminate the plant. I think the slight halos may have been due to the use of local clarity.

Spec sheet is outdated because Google has monthly updates. I haven't compared zoom capabilities and am traveling now, just left Zion NP. Antelope Canyon tomorrow followed by Petrified Forest. Fun with grandaugbter and daughter.

Thanks.
The word iPhone unfortunately is becoming a generic term like Kleenex. I'm looking forward to having frequent use of my Google phone on a 10-day tour of Nat'l Parks with my daughter and granddaughter starting tomorrow. I'll use my Nikon D810 and good lenses sparingly just to further my testing of my phone's capabilities, especially the reported improved dynamic range and telephoto capabilities. |

I guess the tell should have been the back pack vs. the plastic sack. However, there appears to be a donation hat positioned nearer to the man on the right. |

I'm sure local people will find this an important documentary photo. Most of us, I think, tend to overlook these photographic opportunities. I recently found a 50 year old photo of mine that I believe has importance. I'll submit it next month. |

I like it because their personalities shine through. Of course, all the technical aspects are well done too.
In the mono version, I must look at their shoes to identify the street person with certainty. |

Yes, I doubt one of three judges would like it because it can't be viewed in 3 seconds, but I'll probably print the color version on canvas and hang it above my desk.
If I worked for a major camera manufacturer, I would waste no time licensing the Google technology before my employer went out of business. Of course, there will always be many uses for a superior camera, but we must always choose our camera and lens based on our intended objectives.
The 4XL has an 8x telephoto lens and performs excellently without a tripod. |
