Tom,
You mentioned using ViewPoint. I just started using it with the intention of correcting thousands of framed paintings. I was discouraged from proceeding because my initial 50 MB file ballooned to 200 MB. Any suggestions? |

I suggest lightening the greens or opening the shadows if that tool is available to you. |

I think this is the first flat image I created that I like. I purposely left it flat just to see the reactions. Later, I was surprised when I read that Whistler said any painting that popped wasn't art. I guesss that's why his style was flat.
I'll make another version that pops. I always find it interesting to make variations of colors and crops. |

I have never used that software, but over the years I have made a lot of similar graphic images, often times using Pixel Bender (not supported since CS5). What I settled on as most pleasing to me was a square image format that was darker on the borders to draw the eye in. I also experimented with colors and was guided by a color wheel. I liked Increasing contrast and selectively changing colors to make them more complementary.
Have fun playing with it. |

This is an excellent image as is, but my personal preference is to have a dark vignette. Also, I may prefer to see the entire image painterly rather than just the foreground. |

I like this a lot. It's very interesting and well done, but I have a couple little tweaks to suggest.
There is slight but noticable keystoning on the left. I've learned to correct this in Lightroom by Rotating until a vertical line in the center is straight. Then a slight vertical adjustment will fully correct it.
Secondly, my preference would be to use a local blurring adjustment on the people, and slight local clarity adjustment on the items In the foreground to make them pop a bit more. |

Visiting from Group 34.
Lower Antelope Canyon is one of my favorite locations, and I've photographed it about 6 times since first visiting when it was relatively unknown 12 years ago. Too crowded now.
Yours is an excellent image, wth very appealing composition and lighting; one of the best I've ever seen. Perhaps, I would appreciate even more if the view had perhaps 10-20% added to the top. Maybe, you have an second image to merge with it. |
