My wife suggests that some flowers can be dried and still look attractive. |

I think I prefer the mood where it is but it's certainly worth making the variation Ian suggested. Yes, adding a bit of recognizable reflection would add interest.
Well done! |

I try to add color and life to compensate for my routine sometimes dull life. No pills, just imagination.
Thanks for the comments, I'll be looking for something to add and complete a story.
As is, I think I could live with a print 6'x3'. I have found print size makes a significant difference with many images. Fortunately, i have found that graphic images such as this can be enlarged with little risk. |

I have gathered different colored sand from various locations and plan to sprinkle some on prints to provide a realistic texture.
So, I thought you might consider adhering a real flower petal to replace your falling petal. Just an idea that's not for photographic competition. |

I compliment you on your creative thinking. It's a very challenging project. I agree with all of Marie's suggestions. The only alternative idea I can suggest is to crop 10% off the right side and not move the moon. If the outer glow idea isn't successful, brighten the mountain a bit.
I like the stars and water as is, and I look forward to seeing your next version. |

My colorful graphic that I showed last month didn't get an acceptance at the recent AZ wide State competition, but I did get 3 other acceptances and 1 HM. One each in Open, Mono, Nature and Rotating (reflections). I had laid off competing for a couple years, so that was encouraging even though my creative submission didn't fly. |

I like your image and agree with Marie's suggestion. Perhaps extend that delicacy to the hedge and also clone in some unevenness to it. Personally, I would trim off almost half of the black base to further emphasize the trees. |

I have no problem with the frame, but I have a couple other issues. My first impression is that the falling petal is a distraction. If titles are read at a competition then it's very good. Perhaps a time lapse, muti-exposure effect of a falling leave would remedy the need for a title. (I couldn't do it but I bet you can.). Our local and State competitions don't read titles to judges, but i wish they were read for a number of reasons.
In addition, I would prefer to see the leaves look alive. I think dark green leaves may better balance the color of the rose.
My cacti and many other plants have started blooming. Is it possible to capture too many pictures of such beautiful subjects? |

I look for interesting shapes and/or colors to photograph and start playing in my computer. In this case it was burls on a tree trunk.
Thanks for the ideas. I was thinking of the sky in a Van Gogh painting and look forward to using it as a background in the future.
I hope everyone can give me more ideas to explore. |
